The conversion isn't perfect, but it's good enough when you have an S-video feed and only RCA on your TV. This came in handy for making S-video out on my video card play nice with an older TV. |

this is a pretty good cable, which is fairly cheap. Any other place, like radio shack would charge 15-20$ for a simple cable like this.If your tv is within 6' of your s-vid out capable comp, this is the cable for you, otherwise you might want to go with the more expensive 5" cable with a female rca end. |

This type of cable is actually quite difficult to find; even most electronics shops don't stock it, and it sells for $20+ at many places on the Internet, so this one is a steal. Picture quality isn't that great for me, but my old TV may be part of the problem as well. |

Well, you get what you pay for, I suppose. All I really wanted to do was use my aging (20+ year old) TV to watch movies since my VCR does not work. This does the charm, especially due to the lack of S-Video inputs on the TV. |

A cheap way to connect a s-video output from a laptop or video card to a TV with only a RCA video "in". A mini-jack to L+R RCA jack will be required for audio. |
I use this to hook up my laptop to my tv and it works just fine. The 6ft cable is better than the other 6in adapters around ncix. For this price, I cant even get this at the dollar store. It is worth the penny and a durable cable that will last long.
