Use the Funny Cable
Comment:
Works fine. Case is a very snug fit for the drive but this is a good thing if you're not planning to swap the drives regularly. Setup seems simple BUT use the two-headed USB cable that comes with the case. Sure, you probably have longer USB cables lying around which will fit that port but the drive sometimes needs to be plugged into TWO USB ports to draw enough power. (And if it's not getting enough, you'll get weird mounting problems!) |

Works as Advertised
Comment:
Removed SATA drive from a Gateway laptop needing repair and connected via this adaptor to a new laptop to copy files. What I didn't like about the enclosure were the tiny screws. You can hardly see them, much less install them. Enclosure cover is held on with electrical tape now. |

Cheap and efficient.
Comment:
I had a usb port break off on my old mini-drive and needed to keep using all the files for video work. I ordered this case, it came 2 days later, luckily, and I was able to keep on working. I just installed the drive, screwed it together, and it's work perfectly ever since. |

Works well, hard drive fits perfectly
Comment:
I could have saved $7 by buying a cheaper enclosure, but I wanted one with a lid design, not the kind with the single piece aluminum body. I figured that it would be easier to add any padding if the drive rattled around inside. However, I didn't have to do anything extra because the hard drive fits perfectly. I bought a 500GB WD Scorpio Blue hd for this enclosure and it works great. The case is sturdy and you can just use 1 of the USB plugs if your desktop or laptop computer's USB port provides enough electrical current. The box wrongly states that a carrying case is included, but that's okay -don't need it. |

Great Value for your money
Comment:
Product works exactly as described. It's very thin, easy to install the drive, comes with a mini-scrwedriver which means I didn't have to bother looking for mine. If you want a reliable, durable, slim, and nice looking drive caddy this is it. |

Excellent way to recycle PC Parts
Comment:
Ordered to be used as an External Hard Drive and External Backup for my new gaming console which was being replaced. I bought a 250G Hard Drive to replace the 120G Hard Drive the console came with and to save money. This works out great because I have saved money buying the part separately and the old part gets recycled as an external media and backup device. |

Impressive Product
Comment:
This product worked perfectly. I have three of these to use for backing up my laptops and fulfilling external storage needs. The enclosure is portable and lightweight and much cheaper than an external drive. The only drawback is that the case becomes pretty warm after a few hours of use. I am going to order another one today! |

Great Enclosure for the Money
Comment:
Worked great for getting some old files from a laptop that crashed and burned and would work great as an external drive. It would not work very well if you have to change hard drives inside the enclosure (like in a repair shop). Some of the internal connections seemed a little weak for daily plugging and unplugging. |

Good Solid Case
Comment:
A good buy when looking for a solid case for an old hard drive. Metal case looks nice and seems very strong. Comes with nice options or extra screws and screwdriver as well as a plug with different options. Would buy another when I have another hard drive. |
It's sturdy and it works perfectly. I'm 100% satisfied.
