SAMSUNG M6 Series HM320JI 320GB 5400 RPM SATA 1.5Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:Bit noisy
Pros:Inexpensive, good size. Will fit Macbook Pro Comment:
Overall, pleased for the extra capacity. Only concern it does make this noticeable noise when accessing the disk. |
I have the same model bought in late 2007 and found it very satisfied with the product, so satisfied that recently ordered 4 of these to put in my workstation to array them. However I've found that once a while 1 of 4 hard drives made a click sound when it starts reading. Its quite a loud sound and after researching on the net I found that many other people have same symtoms with thiers. Its obviously faulty and I will have to return the 1. Just looking at my year old one verses the ones I just bought I feel like the quality has degraded by the marks on the side of the hard drive, actually looks as tho they hand grinded the aluminum body to deburr it now.But the 3 drives that are working are quiet as hell, I litterly have to put my ear up against it to hear the accoustic noise when reading/writting. Its a good drive just need to work properly in every hard drive they produce! It is a good designed hard drive all in all but I think Samsung is cutting to shortcuts which is going to cost them due to poor quality and I really was a fan of Samsung. Now I will have a second thought whether to buy any other Samsung product at all.
