I finally got religion and wanted to have all my photos, an extensive collection, on a RAID 1 setup for safety and peace-of-mind. I also wanted removable drives, since they WILL fail over time. MobileSTOR fits the bill nicely. I got my unit, and immediately saw that, as everyone everywhere says, Sans Digital has the worst instructions. There is a little flyer but youre on your own to figure it out! Fortunately Sans Digital has great tech support on the phone. Nowhere does it say you have to hold the reset button for 5 seconds for it to work, but the guys on the phone tell you right away. They also shipped the unit knowing that it's GUI readout will give you false information (''not a problem'' tech-guy said. ''Is too'' I said.) They replaced it promptly. I'm using 1.5TB Seagate drives, which work great. So I'm happy with the unit. Sans Digital has some fine-tuning to do, and a good manual to write, but if you can get past that, this seems like a good simple RAID setup.
