- incredibly quiet- rebate/on sale- 7.8 score on Windows Expertise Index- smooth RMA process- low power consumption - screen goes blank at random, laptop doesn't crash, just no picture. Tried diverse drivers, monitored temps, switched HDMI cables - nevertheless getting blanks screens. Didn't matter no matter if watching a video or just browsing. Occasionally it'd be fine for a day, then it would go blank. Boo hiss. Am RMAing. - restocking fee is harsh. If I had additional cost-free time in my life, I'd install in a different pc and see what happens and troubleshoot additional, and so on., and so on.- I see some 6450s out now - might try 1. I just need the 1.4a HDMI for my HTPCǙD Television. |

Bought one of these for a gaming program with a 1090t CPU and asus m4a790xtd evo board. With a single GPU I didn't get the efficiency I was seeking for on Negative Firm 2, it just wasn't smooth at high settings @ 1680x1050 so I noticed these on sale with a rebate and bought yet another considering that my board supports crossfire and wow. It runs BC2 as smooth as can be, let's hope it can do the same when BF3 is released! I mailed off a couple of rebates at the identical time to the 4myrebates web-site that handles sapphire and many other corporations. I mailed them all off together, all had been aproved only a couple of Asus rebates arrived weeks ago and still waiting on this Sapphire 1. Given that I got my rebates from Asus who utilizes the identical rebate corporation I am guessing it has to do with Sapphire, they are actually slow. If you don't mind waiting for their slow rebate processing their 6850's are good. When factoring in rebates the value is just correct if you catch these on sale. They do only have a 2yr warranty but that can also be a blessing, in 2 years knowing I'm out of warranty I'll be able to justify modding these for a nice OC |

Hardware is fairly nice. Card is pretty power effective taking into consideration how powerful it is. Came with a nice box and a case sticker too which is usually a plus. Stock cooler isn't bad but could be a small superior imo. Fan is insanely load and sounds like a mini vacuum cleaner as soon as you turn it up to settings above 40%. I bought this card following a lot of years of sticking with Nvidia. This time around the motherboard I wanted only supported crossfire so I decided to give ATI an additional shot due to the fact I've heard their computer software has improved...well it hasn't. For those of you who use ATI drivers and have no issues that's Good. For those of us who do have problems with their software program you're fundamentally nicely...you know. ATI has had glaring concerns with their drivers for years that are ignored version after version. Take a appear at their forums to see what I mean. I continuously got atidriver.sys crashes on my computer. Took two months right after I had the card to even get drivers with "true" assistance and not half patched in support of this card. The "massive" update promised by ATI ended up becoming a redesigned CCC (that is nevertheless missing attributes Nvidia has had for more than 5 years) and the exact same buggy driver software program. I sold this card and upgraded to a Super OC edition GTX 460 card by Gigabyte. It only price me 25$ a lot more than this card (at time of buy) and it blows it away. Runs cooler, runs quieter and gives me considerably better frames in games like Metro 2033 that previously the 6850 couldn't manage on "Very High" settings. The GTX 460 may use more power, but other than that just about every aspect of it blows the 6850 out of the water for me. Even with losing crossfire capacity I genuinely don't care. The GTX 460 hits a max of 50c in my case (Nzxt Hades) exactly where as the 6850 idled about 35-40c half the time and went way above that during load.If you're an Nvidia fan and thinking about this card due to issues you've heard about ATI's computer software improving..just stick with Nvidia and save yourself the headache. |

Gets pretty hot under load [Went up to 85c till I switched thermal paste on it to Artic Silver 5, now max is about 73c] (Not much thermal paste on it to begin with)Drivers...nonetheless waiting for some catalyst updates. They work fine for now, but I wanna see the genuine efficiency of this card. Upgraded from a Nvidia Gt240. Extremely pleased with the performance I knew I was going to get.Plays Just Trigger 2 at about 60 FPS avg at 1400 x 900. Goes up 110 fps and down to 40 fps. Can play starcraft2 with all highest settings no key troubles. I've had this card for a couple of months now, and it keeps crashing my personal computer. I've tried to update the drivers, but even the most recent 1 on their website is useless. Blue screens of death galore!!! Very frustrating, and i want to replace this card. It seems to take place when I attempt to watch something on youTube, it would say that the display drivers are no longer responding. five seconds later, BLUE SCREEN. Windows7, 64bit |

Runs my games on full settings, AA on X8 (max) in such a smooth way, I am stunned. I basically tried to find issues to turn up to see what it could take, it ate everything up.I ran a benchmark on it, it took a 3d scene at 60fps max scenes. Thoughts you, bench marks measure factors that you will in no way expertise! The 2d scene...ran at a laughable 2000-2500 fps on the benchmark, which is flippin insane. If I didn't see it for myself, I'd call myself a liar! Again, a benchmark test with this. You get what you pay for, alot. The cooling is very good.'Worth just about every last cent. I'd buy once more if I had the want but with this a lot power, I won't need to. Was worried I was spending a ton of dollars on junk (amd is famous for bad drivers, I come across they work perfectly on my 64 win7 system, not a single bsod or hickup), so pleased I bought this. She runs a little hot for my taste, goes a excellent bit over 40c without having the fan kicking in full blast. I turned it up in the control center to remain on 80%. At 100 percent fan, it -stays-, even under load at 40-42c. My towers cooling could be superior, so this is pretty excellent. Just keep in mind, turn the fan up!I can't give it much more eggs. =-( It desires ten. Large and HEAVY! I highly suggest installing this with the case on its back so you get a opportunity to screw it in to the back panel. If your case...for what ever reason, doesn't have a wait of screwing issues in I wouldn't get this card, it is really very heavy (note, heat pipes AND fan). It will bend your mobo if you don't get it seated firmly in place with the back expansion slots, I was in fact worried it would break under the weight. Also, make certain you plug the right power cord in, my psu has 1 specifically created for the card (pcie). |

The only USB devices hooked up are my keyboard and mouse, so I'm not using any added power so YMMV. Outstanding card! |

Can't think of a much better bang for the buck in the cost range I was searching for. Had my eyes on either the 5770 or 5830 before I checked this out...glad I went with this as it beats them in every single benchmark I've come across. Oc's really properly and gotta adore the 2nd gen dx11 support. Also doesn't use a lot of power. I'm quite pleased with this acquire. Definitely nothing except it runs a bit on the warm side at 43C idle and 66C load, atleast compared to the Galaxy geforce gt 240 this replaced which, irc ran around 35C idle and by no means more then about 54C load but had a lot less performance then what I'm getting now. I'm preparing on remounting the heatsink using arctic silver five and installing a side intake fan to get some added air directly on the card to see how considerably temp improvement I can get. I've got this paired up with an AMD phenom II 965 and they seem to be a actually very good match for every other. I'm preparing on finding one more 6850 in the near future to crossfire. Anyway, I'd very advocate this to everyone looking for a card in the 150-200 range. |

Nonetheless keeping cool at about 60-63C under load at 875mhz with no voltage bump. Received my Ram sinks currently and the two ram chips right under where the heatpipes for the heatsink come out will not fit. (they measure only 6mm tall) So I can only cover 6 of the 8 GDDR5 chips. Luckily though, the two chips without sinks have direct airflow from the fan. Adding the Ramsinks lowered the overall temp of the GPU by 2c under load, and was able to reach 4500mhz ram clock with them on. |

The card was able to put me on Ultra on every thing for Starcraft 2. Also put out 202 fps on furmark on my program. Comes with a nice converter for a 4-pin to a 6 pin power for the card. Incredibly long, like most cards in its division. I was able to squeeze mine in on a Antec 900, but the cables had to be squished fairly challenging to fit them in and my initially two slots for SATA slots had been covered up by the card, rendering them useless. I tried to Crossfire two of these with a Rosewill Green Series RG700-S12 700W PS and a affordable Rosewill Blackbone case (which I like for the cost, but most likely doesn't have the greatest airflow.) Couldn't think such a excellent ATI graphic card could be this affordable but it can. I'm now able to play all my games at max settings even though sitting at about 55fps certainly a excellent choice for a gamer that wants to invest under 200$ for a powerful graphics card. Only con is like everyone else says the drivers you get on the cd from Sapphire aren't the newest. But like everyone obtaining a new device I would hope you would go out and get the newest device driver for your hardware anyway so no deduction on rating for that. Fantastic graphics card for the price. is a small huge but thats how graphic cars this potent are so guess thats a plus when showing off your hardware to buddies. |
Fantastic overall performance per $. Paired with i5-2500k was able to pull p3500 in 3DMark11, and 21600 in 3DMark06Quite low power usage.Just brief enough to fit in nearly all mid-tower ATX circumstances.Only 1 PCI-E energy cable needed. Defective DVI portTerrible consumer serviceRidiculous RMA procedureDecent overclocking possible. 925 stable. I have 2 of these cards in CrossFireX. The top rated DVI port on 1 of the card has currently began to show signs of going negative. On quite dark scenes, on that port only, I will get modest blue dots running across where there need to be black. It exhibits these signs at stock settings, regardless of driver version or existing GPU load and temp.It is NOT a monitor or cable problem as this exact similar monitor and cable work fine on the bottom port.Sapphire RMA course of action is a joke as properly. They want you to pay ฟ, ship to some random fulfillment residence run by a 3rd party, and be with no your card for 4-6 weeks.
