Fast and Quiet. It is a massive card. It is at least 10" to ten 1ǘ" inches long. This could be a con for some men and women. I was able to run such games as Crysis, BF Negative Firm two, and Left for Dead 2 at their max settings. |

Completely wonderful performance out of this card. I only have a single, no overclock, and it easily handles Starcraft II and Crysis two on the highest graphics settings and max resolution, no hiccups, and a smooth frame price. If this is your first gaming make, I extremely suggest it and don't be concerned about grabbing two of them at 1st. 1 ought to manage just about anything. If you have the dollars, go for Crossfire, but its really not important if you have the processor and RAM to back it up. No issues as far as heat go, but then I'm not OCing. Just be confident to get a case with sufficient space for it. Other reviews are not exaggerating, this beast is about an inch thick and nearly a foot long. Its Massive. I had to put my tough drive in the lowest slot so that it wouldn't hit this card, and I doubt I have space for yet another HD if I want to expand, so make an informed selection. If you arent seeking for lots of expanding, and you dont thoughts operating the cables about it, a medium sized case ought to perform fine. Just be warned, it is quite massive. Comes with a totally free HDMI cable, which is like a good tiny cherry on top of this beautiful cake. Like I mentioned, runs SCII and Crysis2 certainly no dilemma in my rig. Offers a 7.8ǝ.9 in graphics and gaming graphics in Windows Exp. Rating with NO O.C. and NO Crossfire. I'd say that's absolutely worth the obtain. GO AMD!!! |

Operates perfectly with higher frame prices and effective video. Make confident to go to the appropriate location on the ATI site to download the appropriate drivers for this model if you are using Win7 x64. At the moment you require this driver: AMD Catalyst 10.10e Hotfix driver. I would post the url to it, but that's against the guidelines. |

I have two of this. A single of them overclock like crazy. Voltage is the limit. GPU from 900- 1065 mhz steady.Memory 1275 MHZ Win Perf = 7.9Fan at 100% Generally. Area temp 60F using Trixx. The second a single sucks. Prime oc on this 1 is 1000 MHZ GPU. That is the max on CCC any way. The Cards are greate. The dilemma is AMD Catalis Control Center. Does not suport for voltage increase. Even OC to the max 1000 your video card will crash do to low voltage.AMD Bios are the worst. Trixx fix this limit but I can get it to perform with CCC. With both running system crash. Operating on that with Sapphire help. They are suppose to be able to run at the similar time. Not my case. Great video cards for the dollars. But, if the 6950 OC performance is significantly much better and todays cost with rebay 趤 including shipping. You will get 288 a lot more Stream Processing Units and 2GB of memory at 1250 MHZ no require to OC but you nevertheless can. |

Currently running a crossfire setup with two of these cards. Runs almost everything flawlessly with very large fps. Seems to have higher temps on stressful games, which tends to make the fan speed kick up and be extremely loud. Not a major deal even though, due to the fact this is regular. I filled out a 10$ and 20$ rebate from Sapphire. Have been waiting three months so far. I've heard plenty of problems with this rebate technique from Sapphire. Due to this, the five star item gets a 3 star evaluation from me (not satisfying rebates, not just mine but quite a few other reports of this, is false marketing). If I ever do get these rebates, which I doubt, I will gladly give the item a 5 star assessment. |

I bought one of these back in mid November and is running fantastic! Games appear fantastic and run on large settings until I setup my eyefinity and then I needed a second one to preserve settings on high. Eyefinity is awesome but it could come with some downsides (perhaps). So right here is my con and I haven't genuinely read about this anyplace else. If an individual else has a comment about it I would be interested on their input. My Sabertooth x58 onboard audio stopped functioning the moment I put in my second video card and so I referred to as up ASUS just to hear what they had to say and the tech assistance in fact stated the issue is with the HDMI on your video cards. That this is not a hardware problem but essentially a computer software challenge and I will have this difficulty with any MB I would obtain. I am skeptical (only due to the fact I haven't read this anywhere else mind you) about this but I didn't want to acquire a new MB either so I just got a new sound card. I in fact have a post about this on the Sabertooth assessment. I gave that MB three eggs due to the fact of layout and I see other ppl having the very same challenge but receiving the RMA done and not some excuse. i7 950Sabertooth x58two Sapphire 6870'sCreative Soundblaster X-FiOCZ Agility 2 120gb1 TB WD 6gbFatality 750W |

Great performance for the funds! Incredibly pleased that it came with mini DP to DP adapter. Haven't had a opportunity to attempt the HDMI sound passthrough yet although. No linux drivers as of now, which is a significant let down. I mean, not even simple 2D desktop functionality out of the box. You'll have to manually edit the xorg.conf just to get a stable low-graphics mode, and much more if you want any resolution higher than 1440x900. I have to deduct an egg for AMD's shortsightedness in not even possessing an experimental driver ready for us to get bare-bones functionality out of this under linux. |

Excellent gaming overall performance, excellent efficiency to expense ratio. Glaring multi tasking issue that prevents a 5 egg rating. If you run dual monitors, playing a video (Netflix streaming, WMP, VLC, and so forth.) forces the clockspeed to 2d mode, as an power saving feature. There is no workaround I have found that does not void the warranty. This is an situation apparently with the entire 5800 and 6800 lines. The net impact is video and game overall performance gets slashed, producing each near unusable. WoW will drop to less than 20FPS and the video starts to exhibit skipping and tearing. Excellent for gaming, not so considerably for multitasking. I hope there is a driver repair in store, but if the issue has been about because 5800 launch, I may possibly be left wishing. |

Good performance for the value. I bought 2 of these and in crossfire they can run crysis 1 and 2 on optimum settings at 1920 by 1080 resolution. Ran a full day of benchmarks the day I purchased this card and had no problems at all. It even out performs by brothers older 5870 which price him twice as considerably in most bench marks and games. For some purpose with older games and prior to) I do have BSOD's and instances when my video driver resets. I have completed analysis into this dilemma and nevertheless do not have a solution. As long as you are playing the newest and latest games you must have no concerns with this card. Get this card if you want remarkable efficiency and low heat and power consumption but nonetheless be in a position to play todays most recent games. |

Fantastic card. Runs New Vegas on Ultra at 1920x1080 with a bunch of texture/shader packs at ㅴ FPS. A tad on the warm side; idles about 40-45C, but typically won't break 75, even beneath pressure testing (usually about 50-55 whilst gaming). It's also pretty major, so I'd advocate a roomy case and a complete ATX motherboard. OC'd to 970 MHz core clock speed with MSI Afterburner; runs like a charm. |

Low energy comsumption while idle and it doesn't tax your energy provide when beneath load. It crushed any and each game graphically that I could throw at it and didn't even break a sweat. The main components of the card including the heatsink and fan are all encased in a shroud which aids exaust heat out the back of the Computer case by means of vents on the back plate of the card. This helps not only to retain the card itself cool but also the rest of the Pc case also. I did not have any difficulties putting in this card in my case and the supplied 4-pin molex to 6-pin PCI-e converter cables truly came in handy, so I did devote the couple of added bucks or end up with a non-functioning card since it wasn't obtaining adequate energy. The card came with a lot of adapters for connecting to a display as effectively which is a plus. Did I mention that this card is super quiet when I used the manual fan manage in the Catalyst Manage Center under efficiency ? Be my guest if you can discover any. I truly bought 2 of these HD6970s to run in Crossfire as an upgrade and because I also bought Crysis 2 (read my other assessment on the game). As I stated above this card crushed any game I threw at it operating every little thing on highest settings x1080, but operating two of them in Crossfire implies I have to wait for a game to challenge each cards with each other. Do what I did and do some study on this graphics card (or any product for that matter) and you will not be dissappointed...I know I wasn't since now I don't have to worry about handling graphics in games for at least the subsequent year and a half. |

Low energy draw on par with the 4870. Relatively quiet. Visually desirable cooling answer. Excellent general performance. DX10 and DX11 performance is far much better than that of the HD4870. It'll run Metro 2033 with very higher settings at 1080p res, and the frame rate is nonetheless playable. Screws on the mounting bracket stick out a bit, so it didn't mount flush to the back of my case. I was in a position to screw in 1 screw to hold it in, but the other screw wouldn't fit. Not a considerable challenge, but I haven't noticed that ahead of whilst creating other computer systems. I purchased the 6870 to replace my 4870 in a Shuttle SX48P2 method. It has a small 450W 80-Plus energy provide, so I was a tiny worried about the card's energy draw. It's been operating fine for a month now, so I'm impressed. DirectX 9 overall performance isn't a entire lot more quickly than the HD4870, but DX10 and DX11 are a lot greater. It seems that AMD has spent the final two years receiving their hardware optimized for DX10ቧ and their perform has paid off.System: Shuttle SX48P2-Deluxe| 4GB DDR3 RAM | Intel Q9450 @ two.9 GHz | 3 HDDs | 1 external USB drive | DVD burner| HD6870 | Shuttle 450W Power provide |

Quite quick card, Crossfire scaling is unbelievable, doesn't get as well hot, looks good also. I only played around with overclocking for about ten minutes and as far as I can see they appear to overclock fairly nicely as well. I bought 2 of these for crossfire but for some strange purpose a single card had a blue pcb and the other a black. Not also substantially of a problem because I'm probably going to put EK waterblocks/backplates on them so you won't see it anyway. The positioning of the power connectors have been moved to the side of the card rather of on the end. This could be considered a pro or a con depending on the size of your case. It does enable you to fit a larger card into a smaller case without having the power connectors getting an situation, but it makes cable management a little bit of a pain. Upgraded from crossfire 4850's to 6870's. Operating a phenom II 940 @ 4.0ghz on water. If there is a bottleneck, its so little I don't notice it. |
-Extremely great card for the money-About the length of a common ATX board-Sapphire brand comes with a bevy of connectors&accessories-Present 11.2drivers are solid as it is, and they're improving still. -Fans can be loud when they ramp up, IF they ramp up.-IMO, reference design and style isn't the finest for cooling, but shame on me for not purchasing an enhanced design and style I really like this card. Im running two of them in CrossfireX, and for what I paid, the performance is excellent. Two 6870's outpreform ANY other SINGLE GPU config from AMD.. Not confident about Nvidia. The HD 6xxx series scales superbly in crossfire.Ive got them installed on an M4A89GTD Pro board for now, but Ive purchased a distinct board with more space for expansion cards, as two 6870's plus my sound card on that board, is tight. Plus, because they're so close with each other, the faults of the reference design coolers show themselves. PLUS, Ive got each of them overclocked to 950coremem. So, when gaming, I put the fans to 45-50%, which isn't negative, and with headphones its not audible, and it keeps em' under 70F.Honestly, these are amazing, amazing cards for ~赨 bucks. I DO wish I purchased a non-reference model, one thing with a superior cooling arrangement, like the VaporX/Flex model from Sapphire, or even the Twin FrozrII from MSI. Either way, I am very pleased with my obtain.
