SILVERSTONE Nightjar ST40NF Fanless 400W Zero dBA Power Supply
Comment:
really silent high-priced, if you leave your pc on for long periods like a HTPC setup you could run into heating problems. right after a few hours the power supply becomes really hot to the touch and my laptop started shutting down until i let the power supply cool off unless your making use of a case that flows air across the power supply to cool it off your going to run into heat problems |

SILVERSTONE Nightjar ST40NF Fanless 400W Zero dBA Power Supply
Cons:Price. I want quality though. In my case I don't mind paying for quality as I know it's going to last longer.Lower wattage power supply. 400 W is enough for my needs. If I need more then I would be a second one for a total of 800 W.
Pros:Dead quiet. Fanless. Zero DB acoustics.400 W. 100 W more than the previous model.Cables layout in net wrapping.80 PLUS Bronze certified.Plenty of cables.Really solid. Comment:
Cables comes wrapped in nets making it easier to install.Plenty of cables, including PCI-E (not always found on lower wattage, passive PSUs).Solid build quality is evident.High-end design, based on a LLC resonant primary and DC-DC converters on the secondary.Highly overspec’ed components. The quality shows again. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-15-10 05:58 PM |
Absolutely silent style, More than spec'd parts, Power efficiency. No modular cable management, value If you are creating a media center Pc for the living/family room you can't go incorrect with this power provide. It is built from the best parts and is dead quiet. The only issue I would change is to add modular cable connections for cable management. You don't usually get what you pay for but you cetainly do with this item.
