SYBA SD-ATA133R PCI IDE Controller Card
Cons:-Like all cheap cards, probably shouldn't use the RAID function.
Pros:-Connects 4 PATA drives.-Works in Windows 7-Price Comment:
Set up a Win7 NAS for someone using this card. Has been working great for several months.Manufacturer doesn't have the newest drivers on their site. Emailed support and got linked here:http://www.drivers-download.com/en/pnsearch.php?pn=SD-ATA0680-133RI advised my client to stick to software RAID. Rebuilding an array with low quality drivers can be impossible, so either simulate a drive failure to test it or go around the issue entirely.Great performance in P4 NAS, with relatively new PATA drives taken from external enclosures. It's the only cheap PCI PATA card I know of that connects 4 drives, so that right there makes it a winner. |
I have this in a P5Q and I cannot seem to get it working when there are any devices plugged into the onboard IDE controller (Marvell chipset); only one of the IDE controllers can be used at a time it seems.
