Comment:
Most configurable mouse available, high DPI, structurally properly-produced, automatic sniper mode button. Bought this mouse at the end of Aug 2010 and was quite pleased with the efficiency and definitely the really feel. But in early Jan 2011 the proper mouse button created a defective microswitch that constantly sends 2 clicks when depressed as soon as. I tried contacting Saitek to get an RMA but there has been no response either auto or from an employee.A solution is only as great as the corporation that stands behind it. There is no excuse for non-existent client assistance. You have been warned. It is sad when a solution with this kind of potential goes negative. ๖+ for a mouse is not the most pricey but it is certainly not the cheapest. Structurally the mouse is very first price but terrible microswitches and lasers from reading other submissions belies cutting corners in high quality. Maybe when Saitek takes some responsibility for the goods they sell I could return as a consumer. Caveat Emptor

good designcustom fitssnipe button tracking problemsrestricted surfaces (no icemat)terrible tech support stay away from this mouse. It stops tracking on one particular axis or the other and I have to unplug it to get it back working. (not a fantastic point when gaming). I have emailed client help and can not get them to respond. I would like to RMA this stupid thing but I guess I am stuck with it and a company that will not honor its personal warranty. (unless they are backlogged RMAing the 1000's of these worthless points they sold ahead of mine)

The capability to customize this item makes it highly comfortable and easy to match into the biggest of palms. The braided mouse wire is not rubber so it does not stick to surfaces or drag. It has a really higher excellent really feel to it. Now right here's why I would not recommend this item to Any person. The mouse has a massive sensitivity to vibrations like cpu fans or stereos even with a mouse pad and putting ALL OF YOUR WEIGHT ON IT. I can sit their with my bose speakers on and hold the mouse Completely Still and yet the cursor goes BERSERK like im thrashing the mouse from side to side. I tried talking to buyer support but the person certainly knows more about buyer support then something technical. Its ridiculous when I have to use the sniping function TO Actually CLICK ON Things. I've looked around and it seems that this is an actual design flaw and its becoming looked at as a manufacturer defect. Saitek it appears like you forgot to adequately test your product ahead of throwing it on the market.

Really customizable, and truly fits my hand comfortably. Just about every time I have sat down to use my personal computer for the final week, a static spark has jumped from my hand and grounded itself on the screw on the thumb guard, which has then caused every single usb device attached to my computer system to stop responding, till I unplug the mouse. An email to their tech assistance has yielded no response, so I'm not going to be capable to use this solution for half the year for worry of killing my computer system. Do not decide to buy this if you reside somewhere exactly where there is a important static buildup in the course of the winter months.

Everyone who sees this mouse will hate you. It is unreasonably cool seeking. Fundamentally everyone who has noticed it has mentioned that it looks like it is going to jump off of the desk and kill them. The customization is fantastic- unless your hands are very little or really huge, this mouse will be incredibly comfortable. The dpi settings are wonderful. If you have a require to adjust your sensitivity regularly, for editing, gaming, and so on., this is the mouse for you. four discrete dpi settings, an adjustable 'sniper' button, and 3 modes every enabling you to adjust the sensitivity as a percentage of your four dpi settings. The thumb scroll wheel could be significantly greater. I can not get it to function reliably, and as far as I can tell there is no way to get it to scroll sideways. The system to transform what the buttons do has Extremely restricted instructions, so be ready to figure it out as you go. There are no pre-programmed functions that I could come across- you are quite significantly limited to macros and keystrokes. It is impossible to switch modes with split-second speed- not very good for fast gaming. None of these are massive concerns for me. If you want the coolest hunting mouse out there, obtain this. You won't be sorry. The dpi settings are great- there are probably much less expensive mice out there for this, but you can switch your sensitivity immediately with this mouse. Do not get this mouse if you want a lot of macros, unless you have the complete second it will take to switch modes and readjust your hand position from pressing the mode button. This mouse is extremely, very very good for photo/video editing and CAD-like applications.BOTTOM LINE: If you want to make all of your friends red with jealous rage, or if you want a extremely comfortable mouse with particularly variable sensitivity and a couple of added buttons, go with this mouse. You will not be sorry. If you want lots of buttons at your fingertips for on the fly macros, look elsewhere.

You can customize this to just about any size you can feel of. The sidebar moves forward and backwards...this is a large plus, specially because Just about every mouse I've had prior to I had to curl my thumb inwards to grab the side buttons (which I use a lot for WoW). The mouse DOES drift (at least mine). This is due to the cord, everyone obtaining the concern pull the cord and straighten it out, it stops immediately. So its not in truth the mouse, which is good news. The cord is the difficulty! If the drifting problem keeps going on within the 30 days I am going to return this and hope for yet another one particular that is working. The mouse is Amazing though even with the cord situation.Mouse got to me late, not Newegg's problem, but it seems each and every time I order anything little it is delayed or seemingly lost in the mail.Enjoy you Newegg!

Looks great! Doesn't really feel wonderful in the hand = doesn't fit properly for lengthy periods of use sadly. Worst of all - I didn't want to think the tracking challenge evaluations. I imply, for the price of this mouse you'd feel that would be the 1 thing that would be fantastic. I tried it out in WoW - it worked properly enough - then when I played a game that took actual precision and speedy action - it was effortless to see this mouse wasn't going to make the cut and I could make no excuse for it. I had to right away switch back to my other logitech. I am attempting the Logitech G9X - hopefully with greater success than this unfortunate junk. Too undesirable, it looks so cool :(

The adjustability is what 1st attracted me as I operate in IT and use a mouse for at least 8 hours everyday. The ergonomics make it incredibly comfy which final results in less RSI. Bottom line, much less pain! The adjustment shelves for the thumb and pinky outcome in a natural "at rest" position for your hand. No additional pinching of the mouse in between your pinky and thumb! Once again, much less pain over time. Palm rests are brief sufficient that you don't feel you have to "cup" the mouse.I chose this over the ř" model for the larger DPI for gaming. IMO worth the added income! four DPI adjustments that can be swapped on the fly. The "sniper" button tends to make for a Incredibly slow moving mouse, ideal for precision aiming situations.3 plan "modes" permitting a entirely various set of commands for various games. Profiles (sets of three modes) can be saved to disk and loaded through the software.Effective macro/special essential programming! Can even record crucial releases and combination buttons. Software is nice but not as intuitive as it could be. There is a large "activate profile" button that Have to be clicked to "turn on" the settings! If you do not activate the profile, the process will see the mouse as a regular 5-button mouse and no thumb wheel. Activated, the technique sees the buttons (and thumb wheel) as whatever key command/macro you set for them. Thumb wheel can be tricky to set. It can result in "stuck essential" inputs that can be tough to reset - reboot may be necessary to clear the input. The spring-loaded retainer that holds the weights in location WILL SHOOT OUT if you unscrew it with all the weights installed. Be careful as it will fly across the room! :)The palm and pinky rests have an optional "grip surface" you can swap. I wish the grip would have more definite traction. All the cons are minor points that do not detract from the general expertise with this mouse. Gold plated connectors. Braided cable. Why braided I wondered... effectively it turns out that there is less friction in between the cable and the desk surface! If you have ever had a mouse cable "bunch up" on a desk then you know what I imply. Big win for this mouse!Weight appears to be a gripe for some, but to be sincere I like it heavier. Attempt gaming with it with the weight for a day and see how it feels. The heavy weight tends to help FPS gaming by producing your brain associate the weight with the gun you carry in-game. Hard to describe, but it improves my gaming practical experience... it tends to make handling the gun simpler! The software even lets you adjust the general sensitivity of the mouse laser. Does not seem to influence DPI settings or precision, but the overall "speed" of the mouse. Adjustment for X-Y axes can be produced individually or chained together.

Customizable, weighty, feels really well put with each other. Tracking is smooth, clicks are louder then most mice, which adds to the feeling of getting well constructed. Overall its a nicely built mouse, you get what you spend for. It's not the common Razer mouse. The shape. I love the shape, don't get me incorrect, but it can sometimes make my hand tired following designing for four hours or going on extended gaming sessions. I have large hands, so I'm not confident if this is an challenge for any person else, but i locate following a couple hours my hand cramps up a tiny bit, due to the width of the mouse. That being stated, it fits in the palm of my hand perfectly. Mainly because of this I took off 1 egg. In all honesty, if your looking at buying this, just do it. You wont regret it. Its a sweet mouse, it looks crazy, and its customizable to fit your hand. What far more do you require?

Build quality is superb. A lot of customization and feels wonderful. This mouse has the capacity to be the greatest mouse every built! Tracking is unacceptable. Mouse cursor drifts on it's own when mouse is sitting nevertheless. Even with none of the weights installed this is still a heavy mouse. RAT mice require constructed-in memory to support profiles inside the mouse in the event the mouse is transported then the profiles keep with it. Retail packaging is seriously poorly created. It's hard to open and close the box. With a price tag tag of ๟+, this mouse really should have a reusable box, some thing with a uncomplicated design. At least I know I didn't spend 50% far more simply because it was packaged in an high-priced retail box like all the Razer products are. I have contacted producers tech assistance and I do not believe they are genuinely conscious of what's occurring. They appear like good people today though. Possibly they require to contact the people today they're purchasing their lasers from and make them either do a firmware update or a recall on these RAT mice. I'm utilizing an Wonderful xtracpads ripper mouse pad (best mouse pad in the planet!) and my MX-518 mouse tracks Perfectly on it!

*VERY customizable. I have quite tiny hands but like a hefty mouse, and it was effortless to get it brief & hefty. Didn't even use all the weights!*Software is rapid to install, simple to use as soon as you get the hang of it (I already had a Saitek keyboard, so I was utilised to it), at least for incredibly simple command mapping.*Sturdy. My cats can knock this off my desk or I can trip over its cord receiving out of my chair in a hurry and I'll never worry about it. Braided cord is a nice touch, no worry for me about it pulling out or acquiring loose (as a cheapo mouse cord did to me as soon as). Strong plastic & metal design. Fantastic interchangeable parts that do not feel loose in any way. *Cursor drift. I have a slightly wobbly keyboard tray and the mouse dances whilst I sort. Nonetheless, when I'm in fact making use of the mouse, it behaves generally, so it's not a massive deal for me, just slightly distracting out of the corner of my eye.*The mouse may be fairly hefty for some users, or too wide. I have to give my hands a break from its width periodically, but that's likely very good for me anyway. I had mostly applied wireless mice in the previous just for the heft the battery gave, but I like the weight of this with four out of five weights installed.*The software program can be tricky if you're the sort of particular person who requires a tutorial or very good instructions to get began. There are directions, but they are quite comprehensive, not actually excellent for basic needs. Seems a quite clear factor to leave out.*DPI switch and mode switch are a tiny out of the way. I had to mess with the thumb rest rather a bit to get the thumb buttons in a great spot, as well. I actually like this mouse, but it's extremely significantly a adore-it-or-hate-it device. If you swear by a different mouse currently, possibly you don't want to switch. On the other hand, if you have an odd-sized hand, like me, or have been struggling to find a mouse that feels good, this might be a fantastic bet for you. fourǛ stars for filling a niche that was missing, albeit with some flaws.

Styling and ergonomics are really good. Materials and craftsmanship are also very good. Continuously executes unwanted double-clicks. Pointer occasionally drifts and tracking can, at occasions, be really challenging to control. Customer Assistance has NOT responded to e-mails or requests for help. Initially and foremost - the problem with this mouse executing undesirable/unintentional double-mouse clips has gone way beyond annoying to definitely frustrating and even expensive. For instance, when individually deciding on large numbers of old e-mails to delete (including unopened suspicious e-mails), I click on, say the 50th e-mail, and thats when the mouse decides to execute a double-click; opening absolutely everyone of those e-mails!!!! Or, playing Tiger Woods Online Golf, and possessing only 7 putt previews left, when clicking the mouse button all of a sudden uses 4 of these 7 with a single (physical) mouse button click. Even worse, when employing (purchased) points to pay for something on-line and clicking on the item, the mouse all of a sudden executes a double-click (when physically clicked once) and I end up shopping for two or three of these things - and no matter what I attempt I can't get reimbursed for those unwanted additional purchases. The slap on the face is when the manufacturer fails to respond to my requests for help.

This mouse is all is says to be. You can customize it in so many diverse ways to make it fit your hand. I am getting matters with tracking on this mouse. I will have times when it will lag for a second or two and other instances when it entirely stops responding. I have identified that if you choose the mouse up and then spot it back down it fixes the dilemma but for a gaming mouse that must not take place. I would not suggest this mouse to everyone that plays in games where the 3 seconds you take to get the mouse to function once again could price you a game.

Wonderful looks, lots of adjustments to fit on 1's hand. But the true deal comes from what the get in touch with "precision aim" and a secondary scroll wheel. I use this mouse for Photoshop and it is amazingly comfortable for super high accuracy editing, also getting a thumb scroller tends to make it super good when it comes to moving about zoomed in image. not so customizable right after all, (-1 egg) back of the rat appear to be missing help. when employed at the desk's finish (while elbow hanging in the air) this rat tends to tilt backwards, as a result screwing with optical sensor. it would be actually nice if they had added identical adjustments for the pinkie as they have for the thumb, and the palm rest peace (rear of the rat) could also adjust in height. presently they are just give you greater profile part, but if you want to reduce it any more than default you are genuinely out of luck.

It seems to be holding up properly. Worth just about every dollar. The laser sometimes gets dust in it. Each and every after in a while it wants to be blown out. Not a real major deal, but it can annoy if it takes place at the wrong time. I would advise it, especially if you have a difficult time acquiring a mouse significant enough to fit your hand.

Like I said, I've had three of these Ƒ) Series 7 ƒ) Series 9. NONE of them have worked as advertised. I have tried several setups WinXp32, Win764 (Laptop and Desktop). I have tried Numerous surfaces and ALL get the tracking troubles on each single 1. The series 9 one I had would randomly change its DPI on its personal. Clearly this mouse is very customizable. I believe the correct Pros are the reality that it fits significant hands. I am a significant individual with extremely massive hands and this mouse is fantastic for me. Extremely comfortable even during extended gaming sessions. I purchased this mouse especially mainly because of the adjust-capacity and it didn't disappoint. The thumb scroll is essentially useless for me. I find that there isn't a very good way to use, or significantly of a will need. The button layout could be a bit far better, but I have big hands, and i'm sure for a person with regular/small hands it would be fine. This mouse is comfortable and has some 'shock' worth at a LAN party; requiring a double take. Lots of "whoah, thats your mouse?" comments.

It looks extremely awesome. It feels solid, the materials are incredibly good top quality. It's particularly adjustable and programmable (I swapped the forward and back buttons, no challenge). It's ultra quickly when you need to have it (think about the tank turret in BFBC2). And it's slow on command with the sniper button for those challenging to get head shots. It's somewhat expensive. I use this mouse in Win 7 x64 and I have no problems at all. I have read critiques of people saying the cursor moves on it's own, not right here. I also study reviews of the mouse freezing for 1 second when picked up and place back down, not here. It operates perfectly in BFBC2 and other games. I haven't even removed my old Logitech drivers but.

Effortless to customize as soon as you figure out what the several adjustments and components do. Good for hands that are as well tiny for most gaming mice. At max 񣁠) dpi, feels noticeably sluggish compared to a G9x (with or without weights in the R.A.T. 7). The G9x software program is also much additional user-friendly (e.g. profiles with application detection, and the dpi enhance/decrease buttons are programmable). The two side buttons and thumb panel really feel a bit flimsy when pressed. I attempted switching from a G9x due to the fact I have smaller hands, and the R.A.T. 7 side buttons are less difficult to reach (when adjusted). It's also nice that the R.A.T. 7 middle button is easy to hit devoid of accidentally triggering horizontal scrolling. Sadly, the sluggishness is a deal breaker, and I'll be sticking with the G9x.

-Sturdy-Comfy-Adjustable to your grip-Accurate-On-the-fly dpi adjustment (below scroll wheel)-On-the-fly button profile adjustment (next to left-click) -Metal frame tends to make mouse extremely heavy-Removable weights pointless because mouse is already heavy-Thumb scroll doesn't work in Windows devoid of programming it to a crucial press with included software program -I use a fUnc 1030 gaming mousepad and have not had any of the tracking difficulties mentioned by other reviewers. -The scroll wheels have discrete positions, which may well not jive with your style.-The integrated computer software lets you set the dpi for the four dpi settings and set the percentage dpi decrease for the "precise-aim" button.-Integrated computer software makes it possible for you to plan 3 different button profiles (assigning macros and keypresses to buttons) that can be switched on-the-fly with the button to the left of left-click. I don't come across this to be valuable, but it is required because the thumb scroll doesn't do something in Windows by default. You will need to map the thumb scroll to left-arrow ideal-arrow or [] or some thing.
