This is an OK product. Just plug it in and it will read/write discs well enough.However, there are a few things prospective buyers should be aware of. First, it comes with one of those double-ended USB cables, meaning it requires TWO USB ports! If you're planning on using this drive with an ultraportable laptop where open ports are at a premium, this could be a deal-breaker. It also doesn't come with a vertical stand to give it a slimmer desk profile like some other drives do. This wasn't really a surprise though, considering this drive's low price. |
Simple external dvd drive is much like the others and does not require external power. The design is not the simple box shape but a curved back design. The top is still flat.
