I don't exactly have a major list of requirements for these things.Can it burn a DVD? CheckCan it read a DVD? Check4 stars. This product doesn't stand out, it just gets the job done. I bought the cheapest DVD drive this time, and will do the same next time.

Does not come with any software, anyways i don't use any of those. Simply bought because i still need a reader to install games as steam is a bandwidth beast.

(brings the max diskspace up to 8.7gb's burnable.)

Performs as expected, connect and forget. Comment: If function is required over form this is a decent choice, though I generally prefer Liteon for that purpose.. but this was on sale ;)

It works as it should, though it's a bit loud (to my hearing, could just be lack of other noise in the system makes it seem that way). In any case, can't ask for any more than that.

I know i put cons software, but for this price you cant really expect much. Most people already have some bundled software so its not a big deal.I have used a few of these drives, and they always install windows fairly quickly, over the sata interface. Drive speeds seem very consistent when burning dvds so thats a plus.
