I always pick a Sh22x for all my builds. They're cheap and they do the job without a fuss.This one threw me a curve though. When I was done the build and powered up, the drive wouldn't eject; it tried but you could hear that it was jammed.I took it out of the case and tried to manually open the door with a straightened out paper clip. After a few tries I noticed that something was rattling around inside. I took the cover off and a large piece of plastic flash left over from some moulding process dropped out.Kinda bummed about that, it should have been caught at the factory. However, it works fine now.

My last DVD burner was an LG and it crapped out on me so I decided to go with a Samsung as I have had good luck with other of their electronic components. So far I am very pleased. Runs quiet and works just like it's supposed to.

It works as expected and I really have no complaint toward it other than a bit noisy while reading the disc. Otherwise, the price performance ratio is great...

Bang-for-buck, this is one of the best drives out there. I bought two for a client but have purchased many others in the past. Samsung makes a good drive in my opinion, never had any troubles with my past ones either.

As most of the reviews say, you won't get this type of performance anywhere else. Great product and I would definitely buy again.

Overall, a decent DVD writer/reader for the price (PM for $26.79). Would Definitely recommend this for a budget build.

Cheap as hell. Does everything you'd expect an optical drive to do. Can't really ask anything more for 27$

Bought for budget build for a friend, works great no problems thus far, plays dvd's and all sorts of cd's no problem with installing it or installing programs from it. Excellent little cheap CDROM.

Acheté en remplacement de mon vieux graveur qui avait 5 ans. Celui-la ma surpris par sa sonorité base. Quand il tourne il ne fait pas beaucoup de bruit. Bien mieux que bien d'autre marque. Je le conseil a tous. Un excellent choix.

Last time I buy samsung dvd-writer, I took it because it was cheap and I don't really care about my optical but with the noise it makes I think I will stick to LG next time for the extra 10bucks.

I don't think DVD Roms are going to improve anymore. I would like to see a slot loading option like the Plextors used to have.

I used this in my main workstation, its very speedy and quiet. Even unbalanced CD don't seem to make much noise. Although I regret not getting a light scribe version for 3 dollars more.

Great drive for a excellent price. Supports pretty much all DVD formats out there and gets the job done. I have has several of the drives now and they all preform as expected. Recomended

Bought this for a friend's comp. Works well enough, just tested it once before packing the system up. You can really only go with LG or Samsung if you need a DVD burner, I went with the cheaper one. Disappointed though that there was no included software, not even cheapies like PowerDVD 7 or Nero Express 6.

J'ai acheter ce Burner pour remplacer mon bon vien Pionner qui m'a duree pres de 4 ans.un lecteur dans mon ordi j'peut vous dire...il travaille,mon premier Samsung a du burner au moin 5000 disque+l'utilisation normale,donc je sais que Samsung est synonyme de qualiter.j'ai graver 50 disque depuis je l'ai eu...aucun probleme.Le seul Lecteur a mon avis qui demeure superieur a Samsung sont les Pionner et les Plextor.recommander a tous!!!!!! I bought sevral of theses for my builds and thy all worked good and they are prety silent. I got no complain what so ever about them. None broken up to now so they are reliable.

I was in the market for a new DVD writer that didnt make to much noise to replace my currently aging LG DVD drive which sounds like a jet engine when loaded. This does the trick well.

I now only use Samsung dvd writers for my builds. I have not gotten one that was defective yet contrary to LG and Lite On. I find them highly dependable. As with all OEM product no sata cable but so what. Great pick.

Pretty straight forward. There are few options now that the Pioneer no longer is sold here. Samsung drives are pretty solid though, so this is a decent buy.

I tested out burning right away after buying it and it burned quite well! Moreover, it can read most of my scratched up CDs so it was a great buy! A bit pricey though but I guess that comes with the strengths of the product.
