Samsung SP-F10M LED Data Projector 1024X768 4:3 1000 ANSI Lumens HDMI USB VGA S-Video
Cons:Not a 1080p unit, audio speaker not the best(expected).
Pros:Great bulb life(don't worry about bulb hours anymore), nice looking unit, quick warm up and cool down, no filters, good picture, 3 LCD, not DLP, very quiet in economy mode. |
I purchased this unit on sale boxing day and used it for a couple of days. The purpose of ordering this unit is for my classroom, for I teach computer courses, but I tried it out at home when it finally arrived; I am quite impressed. This unit is not a home theater projector, but for someone with a movie room, this would be quite nice mounted to the ceiling. I purchased a Benq from Ncix a few years ago and have used several different projectors at work and find this unit just as impressive as others. I ran avatar via HDMI and blu-ray player and it was quite nice...the Vivid mode was very bright and colorful. After watching the movie I later discovered that the player defaulted at 1080i, though I had no idea, for it handled interlaced very well...text remained very sharp. I also ran at 720p and found the picture great on my 7 foot projection screen. Unlike most existing LED projectors, the brightness is quite usable and Samsung are generally good products. One can run this unit with lights on, but I would recommend darker rooms, especially with eco-mode, where the fans are whisper quiet. Like mentioned previously, this would be perfect for any man-cave, for one can finally can run HD TV and game systems without watching bulb life. The unit has a nice large lens and focuses very sharp. Also, Samsung made sure the casing of the was attractive. A must have, especially if found on sale!Cheers and good viewing!
