ST5000 doesn't have AMOLED screen like its brother ST5500.

Even though Samsung is not a big name in cameras, they don't put there name on junk. I own several different Samsung products that work flawlessly for years. This is a fun camera. I was amazed how good of pictures this camera will take even in low light conditions. It has a red led for auto-focus and it works well.
