SanDisk Extreme 240GB 2.5IN SSD SATA3 SDSSDX-240G-G25 Solid State Drive
Cons:- when updating firmware for the ssd itself, the sandisk firmware update r does not support wireless keyboards and not any of my USB keyboards either, and I don't think it supports USB keyboards at all even with a USB-PS/2 adapter. (DAS pro-silent, logitech k120, mx3200 keyboards)Luckily, I kept an old microsoft native PS/2 keyboard. Plugged it in and works, and now I can hit 'Enter' to update  the firmware. XDHopefully Sandisk update s it to support USB keyboards.

Pros:- fast 500mb/s read and write, 4k sequential- seems reliable so far- encasing looks good

This is a great SSD! Takes about 10 seconds to boot up windows7 64bit. It's run on i5 3570k (stock speed), 8gb ram gskill ripjaws, ga-z77-d3h motherboard. To those who are trying to setup this SSD to obtain reported benchmark speeds, maybe I can share some steps I used:- update  to latest firmware, make sure you have keyboard plugged into ps/2 port, when you're using sandisk's firmware update r, so you can hit enter =)- plug ssd into a sata3 port!- enable AHCI, then install windows, default allocation unit size (4k)- kinda optional to do Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver. Once loaded into windows7 it's using msahci.sys from Microsoft. The IRST driver is called iaStor.sys and I got better speeds/score overall, but only slightly, like 0.1%, which doesn't make much difference. Pretty much a reliability issue to be more worried about here, so time will tell or read on forums to find what others users experience. Intel's RST driver should be better here. Drivers should be supplied by your mobo cd.- turn off indexing on your system drive (C:)If you want more i/o speed, check out fancycache and supercache. Be prepared to eat some BSODs when caching with RAM to offload ssd writes. But it's so fast :)

I wanted to put new life in my Dell n5110 laptop, and this drive just made it so much more enjoyable to work with on. It is blazingly fast. Win 8 Pro's boot time is around 10 sec, complete reboot around 15 sec. The Dell ships with a WD 640Gb 5400 rpm drive, so you can imagine the difference in speed - night and day. Photoshop and Lightroom starts almost instantaneously.I will definitely buy another one when the they go on sale again. I got this one for $149.Highly recommended.

Cons:No included bracket, but that's not a big deal.

Pros:Very fast SSD for the price (or at any price for that matter)
Comment:
From a price/performance ration, this is quite possibly the fastest SSD on the market right now. I picked this up August 22, 2012 for $170 extreme deal of the day. So far I'm very pleased with the performance and am using the as a boot drive/apps in my wife's computer. Very happy indeed!

SanDisk Extreme 240GB 2.5IN SSD SATA3 SDSSDX-240G-G25 Solid State Drive
Cons:Gets progresively slower as soon as you start using it.

Pros:Fast when it's brand new.
Comment:
This drive has some big issues right now. SanDisk have dropped the ball with this one. TRIM is broken on the 5.0.1 SandForce driver and SanDisk refuse to admit that their Extreme SSDs suffer the issue of the broken trim, which results in terrible writes over time. They have not admitted this yet even though their forums are full of complaints about it.Stay away from this drive until it has been updated with the new firmware. I bought it before knowing about the issue and when NCIX had an Extreme Deal on it. I regret doing so, even though I got it for around 70 cents on the GB. I'm just hoping I will get my performance back at some point. SanDisk are a pretty terrible company to let people keep buying these defective drives, and not even issue a word about the problem officially.

SanDisk Extreme 240GB 2.5IN SSD SATA3 SDSSDX-240G-G25 Solid State Drive
Cons:still alot of money for what u get.... all SSDs are tho(per GB)

Pros:240GB, fast, toggle NAND(altho i cant tell the difference).....
Comment:
My computer still boots faster with a single SSD SATA3 than a RAID0 2xSSD SATA3. altho RAID0 loads windows faster... take an extra 10+ seconds to get RAID0 up and running on a X79. I personally like to go as big as I can afford. Its not any better or worse than the competition tho, altho my last 120GB mushkin was the cheapest SSD ever built that i have owned...Intel, crucial, corsair... Sandisk has done an awesome job with this drive, being solidly built for a competitive price point. It does what its meant to do.... You will not be disappointed.

SanDisk Extreme 240GB 2.5IN SSD SATA3 SDSSDX-240G-G25 Solid State Drive
Cons:None

Pros:It's slightly faster its SSD peers.
Comment:
I was concerned about the Sandforce controller which was prone to failure, but decided to take a chance with Sandisk. It's been good in the 2 weeks since owning it. Start up time for my 2-year-old Asus laptop with Windows 8 (beta) is about 6 - 8 seconds. I experienced occasional, very minor stuttering when I switched applications, but I could not tell whether it was the SSD, the laptop or Windows (beta) related. Note that nothing else came in the box, ie. no cloning software. I did not need any software but someone may deem it critical. I paid $219.

SanDisk Extreme 240GB 2.5IN SSD SATA3 SDSSDX-240G-G25 Solid State Drive
Cons:None.

Pros:- One of the fastest SSDs on the market. Faster than Intel in random 4K read/write at 1 and 4 QD. Great sequential speed too.- High quality Toshiba/Sandisk 24nm Toggle Mode NAND.- Great price.
Comment:
The benches below show great numbers in most areas. In fact it is the fastest Sandforce SSD that I've seen in random 4K reads/writes, has great sequential and 512K scores as well. It also scored the highest Anvil's Storage Utilities score I've ever seen for a Sandforce SSD.http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b355/apep_wow/SSD/my_Sandisk_ExtremeSSD240GB_CDM_RST11_noC-states.pnghttp://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b355/apep_wow/SSD/my_Sandisk_ExtremeSSD240GB_CDM_0fill_RST11_noC-states.pnghttp://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b355/apep_wow/SSD/my_Sandisk_ExtremeSSD240GB_as_ssd_RST11_noC-states.pnghttp://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b355/apep_wow/SSD/my_Sandisk_ExtremeSSD240GB_Anvils.png
