Comment:
Had to buy this from another store close by as I didn't have anything else to put on my order and paying shipping for something as small as an SD card seems pretty stupid...I bought this card along with a SanDisk Extreme 16 GB class 10 card for use in a Raspberry Pi. I've been doing extensive benchmarking, here's a pretty realistic benchmark:-----------------------------------------------------------------CrystalDiskMark 3.0.2 (C) 2007-2013 hiyohiyo Crystal Dew World : http://crystalmark.info/----------------------------------------------------------------- Sequential Read : 15.996 MB/s Sequential Write : 14.477 MB/s Random Read 512KB : 15.751 MB/s Random Write 512KB : 1.498 MB/s Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 4.222 MB/s [ 1030.7 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 1.427 MB/s [ 348.4 IOPS] Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 3.489 MB/s [ 851.7 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 0.730 MB/s [ 178.2 IOPS] Test : 1000 MB [F: 0.0% (0.0/14.8 GB)] (x5)Good read and write speeds and for the Raspberry Pi with an OS running on it, decent 4K QD32 random writes...although apparently some class 2 or 4 cards actually have better 4K QD32 random writes!SanDisk is an extremely good manufacturer. The cards are priced in terms of the quality you receive. Hopefully this card proves extremely reliable and robust even being hammered by lots of OS writes - definitely not what this card was designed for!Incidentally I'm finding the Extreme is not worth the extra money. Benchmarks are just marginally faster and 4K QD32 random writes are about 50% slower.
