Sanyo Dual Camera Xacti 720p HD VPC-CG10 Camcorder (Black)
Cons:No variable zoom speeds,Only standard composite AV connection included, proprietary connection
Pros:low prices, 5x optical zoom, 720p, pistol grip design, small fit in any pocket, 10MP photo Comment:
very good camcorder for the price, i can take it anywhere with me, video and photo quality is very good. you can get a pack of 2 batterie on ebay for 12$ if you want to shoot all day long. The CG10 does not come with a HDMI cable but if you got a PS3, you can put your card reader in it and it will play all your video in 720P.For the best video quality i use these settings :Video Stabilizer - OFFFocus Mode - SPOTExposure - MULTIISO - AUTOWhite Balance - AUTOExposure - Aperture locked at 3.5Face Chaser - OFFHigh Sensitivity - OFFDigital Zoom - OFFI like it, Highly Recommended |

Cons:sound reconding is a bit bad,
Pros:Awesome, Video Quality is fine Comment:
It was a surprise for me for that amazing video quality for such low price. Simply awesome. People complains about the zoom, I turned off the digital zoom. The optical zoom is very good, i recorded my brother's graduation ceremony from far away and it was awesome with max optical zoom.Really happy, amazing quality of video |

Sanyo Dual Camera Xacti 720p HD VPC-CG10 Camcorder (Black)
Cons:-H.264 is newer and some programs and PC's can't handle it -lens cap is a clip-on. Very annoying-still photos only fair quality
Pros:-Very good video quality (indoors is good too)-small/compact-uses H.264 files, very nice Comment:
I already have a high quality HD camcorder but wanted something really portable so I got this. Video quality is really good, better than I expected for a tiny camcorder. I find indoor videos good as well. Photo quality is fair. I wouldn't want this as my main photo camera, but it's ok for once in a while. H.264 is nice but is newer so some programs can't handle it and it makes some Pc's choke. Every time you start and stop the video it creates a new file but the camera allows you to join multiple clips together so they merge as one file. My biggest complaint is actually the clip-on lens cap. Come on now, that should be built-in --Recommended. |
Got this for my vacation, and it preformed admirably. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a compact video camera. As another reviewer noted already, get an extra battery or two. The camera takes up to 16GB cards, which translates in about 4 hours of max quality video. The battery however lasts slightly more than an hour before it needs recharging.
