Cons:none really
Pros:Quiet, cheap, high quality Comment:
I got a couple of these just to push some good and cold air into my case. I already have a few scythe s-flex 69.0cfm fans cooling down some radiators. These are a good addition! |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:No complaints, really...
Pros:Good coolingRelatively quiet Comment:
Bought a few of these to throw in my TJ07 as some low-noise coolers since I'm water cooling my rig and just need some air cooling for my southbridge, RAM, and HDDs, plus any excess heat not taken care of by the water loop. Work great and run quiet enough to live with when sleeping on the other side of the room. |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:A little bit expansive.
Pros:Good balance between the airflow and the noise. Comment:
I got two of these fans when on sale. One replaced the stock fan of Ninja rev B heat sank, and the other was installed on the front of my case to pull the air in. CPU temperature went down 5 degrees on load and 9 degrees on Idle while hard disk temperature went down 6 degrees.Highly recommended this fan if you need a 120MM fan that pushes good amount of air and is quiet enough. |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:Would be useful if it had the 4 pin with PWM to modulate the fan by the motherboard.
Pros:Silent and pushes lots of air. Have it on a thermalright ultra120extreme and is cooling my overclocked quad. Comment:
exellent fan for noiseless cooling and can be controlled with a fan controller. Would be nice if they provide both a 3 and 4 pin connection that would allow both fan controller or motherboard PWM control like the ones on the Artic Cooling PWM fans. |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:None
Pros:Strong airflowExtremely quiet Comment:
This 120MM fan cycles air incredibly well at ~1200RPM (1224RPM for me). This is a really quiet fan, something that is especially important when you plan on using multiple fans to cool a system.Although 1200RPM was more than enough for me (C2Q 2.4GHz system, not O/C yet), if you need more airflow look at this fans big brother, the Scythe Slip Jyuni o 1900RPM. Watch the decibel rating on those higher RPM fans though, as the noise from a 1900RPM fan can be noticeable. All in all, this is a really great fan! |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:Kind of expensiveStill audible in a quiet room
Pros:Moves a lot of airRelatively quiet Comment:
I heard a lot of good things about the S-FLEX line of Scythe fans and for the most part, they were true. This fan pushes a lot of air while keeping the noise to a minimum. It's a great fan overall and would recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and quality fan.I do have a couple of complaints though. The first is that the fan isn't cheap at full price. You should ideally wait for a sale where you can get it for $10 or less. Secondly, if you sleep in a room with your computer on, chances are you will hear this fan unless your computer is really far away. It's not at all loud but it is noticeable. Other than that, the fan is great! |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:None
Pros:One of the quietest fans I have ever owned at the rate CFM Comment:
This is quality fan at its peaks, FDB makes this fan barely audible and the airflow it provides is amazing...brings the temperatures in my case down at least 15 degrees on the motherboard with this. Highly recommended!! |

Using the SFF21E as the exhaust fan on my Sonata III. It runs quiet at full speed and is barely noticeable under silent room conditions, while still moving a decent amount of air. |

Cons:-Not the cheapest one at full price.
Pros:-Silent.-Push enough air. Comment:
I got 2 (11$ each) fans to increase the airflow in my aurora 3d. I placed them near my vid car on the mesh door and one on the HDD case. It dropped my GPU temp by 10C on idle and load. On top of that, it didnt had much noise. Recommended for everyone. |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:Not silent, but quiet enough if you want 1200 RPM and good airflow
Pros:Well-built, quiet, good airflow, relatively inexpensive, comes with 3-pin connector and 4-pin adapter. Comment:
I got this to replace the noisy one-speed Antec fan in my Antec SLK1650B case. The Scythe is much quieter. Buy it without worrying about 3-pins or 4-pins connectors. It fits everything thanks to the provided adapters. I got it plugged into a 3-pin motherboard connector and the fan/temp utility I am running (MSI PC Alert) shows it spinning at 1240 RPMThanks to the Sony Fluid Dynamics Bearing, it is a premium product selling at a reasonnable price. |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:Nothing
Pros:Great static pressure. Low noise, high CFM Comment:
This is an amazing fan. When I was buying this I thought It would be perfect if it was running on 7v. I was thinking that 20DBa was going to be a bit loud. As soon as I plugged this thing in at 12v I was amazed. It is the quietest fan in my case running at full speed VS my other 12cm fans running at half speed.Best fan I've bought yet. The F model I will have to try out next. It looks even better. |

Pretty solid fans. They're much quieter than the older ones I used to have and provide a nice case airflow. The pros pretty much sum it all up. They're a good deal, and they do the job right. |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:ExpensiveNo rubber mounts
Pros:Unbelievably quietVery high quality construction Comment:
I'm using this as the front (more like middle) fan on a Sonata III so it's got to pull air through the convoluted path at the front of the case. It moves a lot of air even with this significant obstruction and is virtually silent - much, much quieter than the Antec Tri-Cool that came with the case, even with the Antec on low.It would be nice if it came with rubber mounting grommets, but its advanced bearing system means virtually no vibration anyway.Although $15 won't break the bank, it's a fair amount for a fan. You get what you pay for, I suppose. |

Pros:Quiet, good CFM, good packaging and extras. Comment:
Bought 2, attached one to my Ninja rev B HS, and the other to case air out. CFM higher than ninja stock, just as quiet, temps went down 4 degrees on CPU load, 8 on Idle. Great price for a great product. |

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120MM Cooling Fan 1200RPM 20.1DBA 49.0CFM FDB
Cons:none really
Pros:Quiet fanPushes a good amount of air Comment:
Good quiet fans that push a good deal of air. Have this mounted on a Ultra 120 Extreme and it makes a great combo. |
I bought two of these fans. They do their job and they do it well. The fans are silent. Of course, you can hear the air moving around, but that is to be expected. The sound of a spinning disc in a CD-ROM drive will easily exceed the loudness of these fans. The fans are 3-pin (no speed regulation, only RPM sensing) but come with a 3-pin to 4-pin Molex connector (pass-through) wire. The fan also comes with 4 silver screws for mounting. The only thing I have against the fans is the price. Granted it is hard/impossible to find another fan with ~50CFM and only 20dba sound output, but $15 is a little much. However, Scythe claims that the special bearing in these fans should last a very long time, so if that turns out to be true then it will be well worth the cost. Especially if you run your computer 24/7. This review was modfied by poster @ 02-13-08 12:26 PM
