Scythe Slip Stream Kaze Maru2 140 series SM1425SL12L Case Fan
Cons:Like anything it is give and take, the drawback with this fan is you cannot use it if you only have 140mm mounting hole. You could use it but you would have to be creative and mount it using zip ties or another means than the standard 140mm mounting screws and holes.
Pros:Very quiet while moving a nice amount of air, has 120mm fan size mounting holes. Comes with a connector to monitor RPM's if you want to by connecting it to your motherboard. |

Scythe Slip Stream Kaze Maru2 140 series SM1425SL12L Case Fan
Cons:low airflow120mm mounts
Pros:quiet120mm mounts Comment:
This is definitely best suited as a case fan and not a radiator or heatsink fan. It should be quite good on older cases with mounts for 120mm fans, but you should make sure it will work with the extra size. It's very quiet, even at full tilt. You may need to up the voltage if you use it on a fan controller, which most motherboards have, because they won't start up at voltages lower than 5V. |

Scythe Slip Stream Kaze Maru2 140 series SM1425SL12L Case Fan
Cons:Requires 120mm mounting holes
Pros:Good airflow for sound produced. Comment:
Heads Up : If you notice, the mounting holes are set into the corners allowing a 140mm to be mounted into mounts for a 120mm fan slot, good if you have both sets of mounts, but could be an issue if you only had mounting holes for 140mm. If you have room this could actually let you mount a 140mm where only a 120mm was planned allowing much better airflow without extra noise.Overall I am very happy with the two of these I purchased for case airflow, they are quiet, and move a lot of air. |

Scythe Slip Stream Kaze Maru2 140 series SM1425SL12L Case Fan
Cons:
not really
Pros: it's quiet, 120mm standard mounting Comment:
it come with a molex adapter that have a rpm connector to monitor the fan speed with the motherboard fan header. I'm using it as a side panel fan, so i don't need a lot of cfm, just enough to bring a little fresh breeze to my crossfire setup and cpu heat sink |
I bought it knowing it draw backs to the 140mm mounting, I bought it for being queit and moving a good amount of air. For that this fan is perfect, it is pretty much silent on full speed while moving more air than most fans I have used.
