SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:24 pins and the 8 pins are a bit small.

Pros:Good quality,silent half-modular.
Comment:
Overall its a solid product I cant remove a star for the small 24 and 8 pins since most of people will have enough length to plug everything with a mid ATX case or mini ATX.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:Stiff cables.

Pros:Quiet, small, modular, efficient.
Comment:
I really wish the psu manufactueres would ditch these stiff cables. It makes it quite hard to stuff it all into an mitx case.Overall great little PSU.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:Cables are thinner than what I'm used to

Pros:Quiet, efficient, and modular
Comment:
Great PSU. I bought this to replace a EVGA one I bought on sale (which was super noisy). Seasonic makes great PSUs and this one is no exception. Semi-modular.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:does NOT come with 3pin male fan to molex connectors....I needed these for all the fans in my case.

Pros:Seasonic quality, looks great, feels solid, 80+ gold
Comment:
Overall decent PSU, no longer-term experience yet. If you don't have enough fan connectors on your motherboard, and you have a lot of fans....buy another PSU or buy some nGear (or others) 3pin to molex adapters......

550w from seasonic, great build, high price, if you have money to blow, and a low power requirement, get this.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:for the money you can get at least a 80+bronze/silver rated PSU with more output if you want more head room with your upgrade path, other than that its perfect for something like a mild gaming HTPC

Pros:Good power supply with the 80+Gold rating, helps cut down on the Electric bill. Comes with a neat bag that comes with the cables, zip ties and velcro straps. the twist ties came in handy as well
Comment:
For what you get it's good, clean power going through that won't make the magic smoke come out/burn your house down and saving you the headache of replacing damaged parts, Defiantly don't skimp out on the Power supply.the Bag the cables and straps came in come really handy for storing the unused cables and screws.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:-Cables seem thinner than usual might be my imagination-Does not support dual GPU

Pros:-Quiet-Cool
Comment:
I have owned this G550 for a month, so far I have no complaints. It runs fairly cool when loaded and even when the fan comes on my video card is usually abundantly louder. This is undeniably great value for someone who wants an energy efficient and silent beast of a power supply. The cables seem thinner than usual but as a result they are very flat and flexible making cable routing easier but I am not sure about it's duribility yet only time will tell. This power supply doesn't support having two high-end GPUs but granted it only has 550W. I don't hold it against Seasonic because I don't really need it nor want it but I had to say something negative. This truly reaches a new gold standard for cost-effective power supplies.

Cons:None

Pros:Well builtGoldSimi-ModularNot to longQuite

Used this guy in my hackentosh build, fit in a Bitfenix Prodigy with little issue, Has plenty of power for an i7 3770, 4 hardrives + 1 SSD with power to spare for a mid range video card. The power supply has the main connecter attached but everything else is modular witch is fine. You need to use the attached cables in 99% of the builds anyways. This was my fist Sea Sonic PSU and wont be my last.

Cons:Atx/cpu cables could be longerSome coil noise

Pros:Quiet fanTight voltage regulation
Comment:
Using this in my htpc, so far seems to be a quality unit, with an almost silent fan. Unfortunately mine seems to have a bit of coil noise but it's very faint and pretty much inaudible over 1 meter away.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:none

Pros:Well built, efficient, reputation, very stable voltages
Comment:
I very much like this PSU. so far it has been great, I like the semi-modular setup (ATX and CPU power are non modular...because you will always need them). Some we reviews claimed the cables seemed cheap, honestly I wouldn't agree, they seem fine and sturdy to me.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:None

Pros:Seasonic Gold efficiency
Comment:
Rebuilding my HTPC. Got a gold efficiency PSU from one of the highest quality brands out there to keep the heat down.Modular also helps keep the cables tidier inside a small HTPC case.Wattage is overkill for a lower power CPU using onboard video, but it's hard to get a smaller wattage, good quality PSU at a reasonable price. 75$ for this one is a good price for what you get.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:- as a "gamer" psu, would have liked to see individually braided cables - probaly dreaming...- Cost. All Seasonics cost a lot more, but that money is spent by the company with great materials.

Pros:- Quiet- Cables look better than most - all black and are easy to sleeve and still look nice.- Great materials and craftsmanship.
Comment:
Seasonic is known for making amazing PSU's, they've been doing it for 30 years and chances are, if you've owned a computer in and around 2000, you had one of their PSU's at one point or another. This PSU is no exception. Great reliability, accurate voltages and solid craftsmanship. You really can't go wrong with this PSUI'll take a solid steady underrated 550w PSU (probably can push out 650w if seasonic's benches for their X line is the same here) over those over-inflated 1k wattage cheap PSUs.I picked it up during the black friday sales, and am quite happy with it.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply
Cons:None

Pros:Solid construction from Seasonic. Quiet.
Comment:
My last PSU over heated on a hot summer day and shorted out my motherboard. Smoke and all. Said to myself next time I will spend a little extra for a seasonic psu knowing that they are over built. Like real pro gear they exceed specs. Opened the box and I was impressed buy this solid slab of electronics. The look and the feel,..., Wow! I am enthusiast so this design really meets my tastes. No gaming lights or whistles, just good solid perfomance. This is probably "The" PSU for the majority of computer users with it's great efficiency while being extremely quiet. This cpu is built to deal with high heat having a 120mm fan, but will fit into just about any case, even my old Antec Sonata. Money well spent.
