SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:Obviously won't power newer setup's with higher end gpu's and such.
Pros:Never malfunctioned. 80 plus efficiency. Reliable brand, and good power supply in general. Comment:
This is a good power supply for a 400w one. If you're building a basic setup, definitely think about buying one, I've had it for 2 years and it's still going strong. |

Cons:none so far
Pros:high quality Comment:
I bought this p/s for an everyday computer. It performs well and is quiet. I wouldn't use it with a expansive video card, but for an i3 (on board video), one hd and dvd it is perfect. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:
price ($ 40~50 for 400W? Meh....)OEM
Pros: reliableseasonicDoing its jobsilentActifve PFC80 Plusmany cables Comment:
Using it over an year, actually close to year and half.I used to use it w/ Q6600 and 9800GTX system. Now its working with X3 720 and 9800GT.Its silent, working, Everything seems nice. I even like their seasonic logo. It looks like an old plain PSU, but it does a great job.I can't really complain other than the price. I find $40~50 for a 400W unit is a bit pricey, but its still affordable. I'd rather pay $10 than using something not so reliable.PS. the video uploaded on the top of the page, I think LITEON stopped making any PSUs after like 2006~2007. They used to make some 'OK' PSUs actually... Its just they are quite old and Seasonic SS-400ET is relatively a newer PSU.... |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:
Only my own...
Pros: QuietSteadyReliable Comment:
A very quiet, over-achieving PSU. For a build with an i5 quad and Radeon 5570 card, more wattage would have been a better choice, but this unit has exceeded expectations. The numbers indicate that two additional devices could still be added. Very pleased! |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:
n/a
Pros: - Quality- Quiet- Cheap Comment:
For the price, this power supply is great. I needed a quality and quiet PSU for an HTPC build and this fit the bill nicely. 400 watts is more than enough for most systems and likewise there is more than enough connectors for even the slightly above average system. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:
Longer cables would be nice.
Pros: Can run an Athlon II X2 250, and a Radeon 4850. Plus it has 360 W on the the 12v rails. Equaling a total of 30A!!! on the 12v rail. Which is amazing for the price. Comment:
Overall this is the best 450W power supply that I can recommend. Seasonic is an extremely good brand and well known among the enthusiast community. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:
Non-modular
Pros: Affordable, simple, 80+ Bronze Certification Comment:
My first Seasonic product, and I'm very happy with it. No problems, and it was quite cheap. Had all the connectors I needed. Used it for a budget build so the colour matched my case interior. Only bad side is it's non-modular, which is expected due to the price. Great product if you're on a budget. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:
O- Extremely cluttered cables (T_T)O- Cables are not sleeved; giving a non elegant rainbow of colors within the interior of your case.
Pros: O- Quiet Fan.O- Reliable power output for any low profile system. Comment:
For its price, this is quite a reasonable, and reliable PSU. I would most defintley purchase another should the need arise. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-26-10 02:52 PM |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:
-fan can be noisy under heavy loads-not resistant to surge (with surge protector)
Pros: -stable power-quiet under moderate loads-sufficient connectors & cable length Comment:
Of all the power supplies I have owned before, this one is quite decent. The fan is quiet but it is by far the loudest component. However, it died in a recent power outage and won't boot up again. If it cannot deal with one or two surges in a year that even a $25 psu can, then it is not worth my time or money. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:Messy cable organization
Pros:QuietPlenty of cable length Comment:
Overall this is a great psu for the price. Preferably I would have liked to have better cable management inside my computers, but the price of the modular cable psu was just way too much. Otherwise I could not complain. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:-No sleeves on the cable
Pros:-Cheap-Quiet Comment:
Runs fine for a budget build comp. No problem with cable lengths since I used a mATX case. Too bad the cables didn't come with sleeves, otherwise it would look a lot less messy in a mATX case. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:Flimsy? NCIX shipment packaging.
Pros:Quiet. Ample connectors. Comment:
Works well. However, the first one NCIX shipped me was crushed in shipment by Purolator, along with the corner of the shipment box. NCIX didn't protect it enough. Got an RMA and the new one was slightly crushed as well. The fan grill vibrated against the internal fan. I had to pull it outwards with pliers. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:No way to monitor fan speed
Pros:QuietStable Comment:
This is ample power for a typical desktop build, and plenty quiet with temperature-controlled fan. The only improvement I would recommend is a motherboard fan connector so that a user could monitor the fan speed. Not that it matters if the internal temp control is properly functioning.Excellent value for a budget piece. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:Can't think of any.
Pros:Large fan = quiet operationPrice Comment:
Why would you buy another equivalent power Seasonic power supply when this OEM version is so reasonably priced? It has a large fan and when I'm running it on my HTPC rig it's next to silent. It has a cage over the fan which is optimal for letting as much air through as possible as quietly as possible. It's also highly efficient, so you can save the world, and has enough power for most basic/mid range systems. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:- Seemed to have trouble with my motherboard's smart fan feature
Pros:- Cheap- Lots of power connectors (should have had more SATA ones though, rather than so many of the older style Molexes)- Seems pretty well built- Pretty quiet Comment:
When I had my motherboard try to intelligently control the fan, it seems to have this really annoying winding up and down noise. Stopped when I turned the feature off. Hard to tell how well it's functioning since I'm not a techie. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-07-09 07:42 PM |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:No power cord, only 1 pci-e power connector (forget sli/crossifre on this). Packaged in a purolator bag usually.
Pros:Cheap, seasonic reliable quality. Comment:
This is great when you want to make a cheap build but still have a reliable good quality PSU without spending big dollars on it. Just make sure you have a power cord or grab one on ncix for like 2$. Forget sli/crossfire on this there's only 1 pci-e connector. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:none
Pros:When paired with combo you cant beat the price 120mm Fan Comment:
I picked up this Seasonic 400 watt with a crucial ballistik ram combo. You cant beat the price!! for 85% of the System builders out there this will run anything you need it to with the exception of SLI and high end gaming cards requiring more power. Seasonic is a reputable brand which will power your system troble free. Has a 120mm fan to help keep the unit cool and isnt lightweight like so many generic psu's. Bang for the buck, Seasonic gets my vote!!! |
i had some no name power supply die on me so i decided to spend a little extra money for some quality. i'm not disappointed even in the slightest.
