Seagate 250GB 7200/16MB 2.5 Mobile SATA HD
Cons:
None so far
Pros: SmallFastLightReliableQuiet Comment:
I'm using this tiny little guy in a Chenbro ES34069. I wanted the faster 7200 RPM drive as it runs the OS. I'm also not concerned about the bit more power it will draw when compared with a 5400 RPM drive. (It actually might not. Check out the review below.)So far, so good. It's quick, quiet and...I hope, reliable. But don't just take my word for it...this guy was pretty impressed by it:http://www.techwarelabs.com/seagate-momentus-7200-4/If you want this for your notebook remember to get the g-force protected model if you've got the scratch.http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=35411&vpn=ST9500420ASG&manufacture=SeagateAll in all, I'm very happy with the drive and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to all. |

Great Product & Great Price!
Comment:
Purchased this drive last week for my HP DV2915NR with Windows 7 64bit. Overall very pleased with the performance. Fast and low heat build up. There is a barely noticeable tick noise coming from drive, but doesn't bother me. Best drive for the money! |

disapointed
Comment:
worst hardrive i've ever used, it was un caracteristically noisy at first and it died in less than two nonths i am now having to return it. hopefully the second one will work properly. very disapointed in this product. truth be told it was very fast(for a mobile hard drive) while it worked |

Quiet and Runs Cool
Comment:
This harddrive replaces a dead Hitachi in my Toshiba laptop. The Hitachi always ran hot and the cooling fan would regularly go into turbo spin. With the Seagate, the laptop is cool and quiet. Speed wise I don't notice a difference because the laptop was dead for 5 months. What a difference and pleasant experience using the laptop now. I wish I had known from the beginning that the Hitachi was the major problem. Hope this one lasts. |

Great Price but Very Noisy
Comment:
Been clicking often ever since I got it. Kinda of worried. Only had it two weeks and not used much either. Loaded XP pretty quick, but drives are not suppose to make clicking noises often. But its working so what do you do? Hope this wasn't a reconditioned or used drive they resold. |

great deal for a little more speed
Comment:
bought this hard drive to replace my 5400 rpm hd for my Macbook 2.1. easy install, format, and re-imaging of snow leopard. I work with logic pro audio software, much quicker speed for boot up, opening and closing programs, and processing. no noticeable temp changes or power drain, runs nice and silent. |

Quite the drive..............
Comment:
I purchased this drive last week to replace a failing unit in my son's Gateway MX6958 laptop. The installation was easy and the computer booted to the screen for operating system installation immediately. Upon installation of Window's XP, Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007,CA anti-virus suite, updated drivers and the numerous Microsoft updates I was amazed by the speed and low noise level of the drive. A great buy for me and a product extroidinaire for Seagate. Norm Guthrie |
I needed a replacement drive for my laptop. it was only a couple dollars more than the 160gb 7200rpm drive, so i decided to go with the 250gb.
