Bought it for $49. Didn't need a format or flash prior to using.At $.10/gb for external drives we're almost back down to pre-flood prices. Hopefully internals will continue to drop as well. |

*I bought this on sale for $49.99 and it's been working perfectly these past 3 months (as of April). The enclosure feels sturdy but I haven't had any chance to test that out (nor do I intend to do so).
