Seasonic X-1250 ATX 12V 24PIN 1250W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular DC to DC San Ace Power Supply
Cons:ugly color, really stiff cables.
Pros:8x6+2pci-e cables, very stable. Comment:
My SST-1200 was packing it in, random restarts, especially during Borderlands 2... This thing is amazing, I did do alot of research, although its not a true single rail, it does divert all power to a single rail. I have a CFX HD7970 setup, overclocked X79 system, custom watercooling, its .5% from being a platinum. Its the same platform as the XFX Pro BE, but from my understanding a little improved upon. There are a lot of nice power supplies out there, it was a tough call... NZXT Hale 90 V2 1200W in white, Corsair AX1200I has apps, Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 10 1200W is a really good build. But at the end of the day, the X-1250 suited me the best... |

Seasonic X-1250 ATX 12V 24PIN 1250W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular DC to DC San Ace Power Supply
Cons:would have been nice to get a 4 port sata cable2 port sata cable is too short to be of much use
Pros:lots of powerclean looksvery quietlots of cabling options Comment:
After trying out a coolermast 1300w silent pro hybrid PSU, and finding it stupid loud I sent it backa nd got this. This thing is silent. No noise at all even under a lot of load. I am very impressed. It ahs a lot of cable choices,a nd the cables are nicely sleeved. It would have been ncie if the 2 port sata connector was long though, that would have worked great for my DVD abnd blu-ray drives. And with 4 hdd/ssd, I had to run 2 3 port sata cables to that area. But it still worked out very well. It looks good and you won't ever hear this thing unless something is very wrong. |
I bought this PSU because it was on sale. Originally was going to purchase the Seasonic X 1000W 80Plus Platinum but with the 1250 - 80Plus Gold being on sale.. I coudn't resist. The reason for going with the Seasonic brand was because from what I've read it's the leading brand in quality and they are used for other PSU companies only rebranded.I am not disapointed with my purchase.. it is powerfull and quiet.
