Purchased for a very tight server chassis that required a fanless PSU. The quality of this unit was immediately apparent as usual with Seasonic. Yes, it is expensive for a 400W unit but if the output is sufficient and fanless operation is required, there is no better choice.

There is nothing between the picopsu and this one. Would have liked a 250 watts. This one will do just fine. I WILL NEVER AGAIN buy another fan'ed PSU again for normal desktop usage.

No complaints here aside from price. No high pitched capacitor whine or anything, truly 100% silent. 400watts is sufficient for my Core i3 HTPC with ATI 5450 standalone graphics. 80+ gold is a bonus. The power supply is truly 100% modular and all the cables are pretty standard length, I had no issues in my somewhat-larger-than-average HTPC case. Cable quality is good and all cables are nylon wrapped and pretty supple and easy to bend. The packaging of this power supply surprised me as its very, very lavish. Comes packaged in a micro suede bag and a nylon carrying case for all associated modular connectors. Probably would have rather saved 20 bucks instead of getting it packaged like a piece of high end jewellery but it was certainly a pleasure to unbox.

Fanless is great because there is no need to worry that your power supply fan will brake and start making lots of noise.

These Seasonic power supplies are getting amazing reviews. I chose this one for my server. Going for a 24hr box, so power efficiency and silence was at the top of my list. It is pricey but well worth it for the quality.
