Seasonic X-560 ATX 12V 24PIN 560W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply W Sanyo Denki Fan
Cons:Stiff Cables, Needless fancy packaging, Died on me...
Pros:Very efficient & quiet. Comment:
Had a year of hassle free operation until today. It quit working on me!Let's hope this RMA process is pain free from Seasonic.I paid a premium for this hoping for quality and durability. I'm now running my computer on my old cheap $30 CoolerMaster PSU that runs 30 watts higher than the Seasonic! But, it works. |

Seasonic X-560 ATX 12V 24PIN 560W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply W Sanyo Denki Fan
Cons:Packaging is maybe a bit much.
Pros:Extremely efficient, quiet, high quality Comment:
I LOVE these Seasonic 80+ Gold supplies. The p/s is the component of your computer that converts the power from your house into a form the computer can use. Most converters of this kind lose a % of the energy consumed, and waste it as heat. 80+ Gold supplies meet a minimum energy efficiency goal of using at least 90% of the energy. Cooler, more efficient.. How else to judge a p/s? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/80_PLUS)The only thing to mention that maybe isn't positive, is the packaging, it comes with some crazy cable bags, which are really nice and all, but just makes me wonder if they could lower the price by a few dollars and just use a plastic bag. Not a bad thing, a mark of a high quality component.I have several just like this one now in different machines, they seem to be working awesome. |

Seasonic X-560 ATX 12V 24PIN 560W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply W Sanyo Denki Fan
Cons:None
Pros:Works as advertised!!! Modular; Cool; Quiet; Efficiency over 90%! Comment:
The X-560 replaced an aging EarthWatt 500W because I suspected my PSU was at least partially responsible for a bunch of seemingly random stability issues. All stability issues have disappeared with the X-560!!!Based on my power usage this PSU will save me between $10 - $15/yr compared to a typical Bronze rated PSU. Doesn't sound like much but over 5 yrs my initial cost ($95 w/MIR+PM) can be looked at as less than $50 for a great PSU. |

Seasonic X-560 ATX 12V 24PIN 560W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply W Sanyo Denki Fan
Cons:-packaging a bit fancy for a product that's aimed to do better for the environment?
Pros:+very quiet+modular+80Plus Gold efficiency+solid Comment:
so far i love this PSU. i'm a lighter gamer, so 560W is more than/just enough for me. i'm all about reducing my carbon footprint, and this is an excellent product for that (except maybe the packaging). Seasonic really lives up to their rep on this one-very well built, quiet, and modular is a big plus, especially since i've an old case with no cable management... |

Seasonic X-560 ATX 12V 24PIN 560W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply W Sanyo Denki Fan
Cons:
- stiff cables- expensive
Pros: - build quality- fully modular- silent operation Comment:
Even though this power supply is a fully modular one, the cables are stiff and hard to work with in a small case. It is on the expensive side, I think Seasonic should get rid of the fancy packaging to lower the prices on their power supplies. |

Seasonic X-560 ATX 12V 24PIN 560W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply W Sanyo Denki Fan
Cons:
price, (even after PM and MIR), the fan hub exposes the motor
Pros: nearly 80PLUS Platinum, excellent voltage regulation, fully modular, overloads with ease, silent across all but the highest of loads Comment:
This thing is crazy efficient, fully modular and dead silent until you abuse the crap out of it, at which point it's mildly audible. The price is a bit of a premium though, even after PM and MIR.They used a similar casing on this model similar to the fanless versions. Because of that there is nothing covering the fan hub, so you can see the motor hub which is exposed. I guess that makes for easier maintenance on the fan though. Not that it needs it, it's a high quality long life ball bearing San Ace. |

Seasonic X-560 ATX 12V 24PIN 560W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply W Sanyo Denki Fan
Cons:
Price.
Pros: Build and cable management. Comment:
Replaced aging Enermax unit. The latter was equipped with temp-controlled fan that ran continually and mobo power supply cables were not modular / removable. All cables on the the Seasonic can be connected individually and the fan is inactive until required. While Seasonic touts its green 80 gold rating for the unit and the packaging is recyclable, they should do without the cutesy velour bag for the PSU and the vinyl pockets for the cables (might lower the price a tad). |

Seasonic X-560 ATX 12V 24PIN 560W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply W Sanyo Denki Fan
Cons:
-How much all the package cost me....box, bag...etc.???-When I put my ear very close of the unit, I can listen a very very small electrical noise. Same with another unit so it should be normal for this unit. Anyway it so small than I just wrote this for information purpose, not to complain.
Pros: Well built, rock solid, wonderfull piece of art.Full modular.Silent. Comment:
Bought for HTPCLian Li PC-C37Gigabyte H57M-USB3G.Skill Ecoi5 650Pioneer Blu-Ray2 x Seagate 7200.12 500.Fan only start sometime very slow.Above the unit and I can barely hear the fan. Almost of the time it is off.... |
Finally! No coil whine or buzzing. And I'm overly sensitive to coil whine. I had to return an X400 fanless PS because of this. This unit is perfect. I was a little hesitant to try it after coming across a number of negative reviews. Guess I got lucky this time.
