Seasonic X650 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 650W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply
Cons: The price is a little on the high side compared to the corsair brand.

Pros: Excellent power supply and practicly silent
Comment:
I have had this psu installed for about 3 weeks and I am very impressed with the silence as the fan only starts turning when temps get high under stress. You get alot of cables and they are plenty long enough for a bottom mount in an full atx case. I upgraded from a corsair hx620 that has been running the show flawlessly, but after 3 years it was time to try somthing different so I found this unit and I am not dissappointed as right from the packaging and accessories class A

Cons: None

Pros: Deluxe presentation packaging and look.Incredibly quiet.Modulable cables.
Comment:
This is my first seasonic psu, and I would say its a very well made product in all aspects. No cons. Just ultra satified. Next step for seasonic would be to replace environmental dangerous parts (there is a few) for more eco-friendly components.

for psu's i am a seasonic for life now!, i have had misc. cheap psu, antec, ocz, corsair psu's and the seasonic is the best by far, it gives power through out the loads, doesnt get hot, which means it can stay quiet, and since its 80 plus gold, at least you be saving some energy too, its packaging was even first class, cloth bag for the psu, and pouch for the cabling, and its modular, so you can pick what wires you need and keep the case clean for wires, even though the price is a little high, its worth every penny

Seasonic X650 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 650W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply
Cons: None.

Pros: Flawless construction100% modularSilentFully sleeved cables. It's Seasonic!
Comment:
I can't say enough good things about this PSU. Solid construction, beautifully sleeved cables, 100% modular and it's dead silent. The fan doesn't even run until you go over 200w and even then it only spins at ~200RPM. The packaging is first rate too. The PSU is wrapped in a cloth bag to prevent scratching and the cabled come in a handy storage bag. Highly recommended!

Seasonic X650 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 650W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply
Cons: It doesn't make me breakfast

Pros: 80 Plus GoldQuietFully Modular
Comment:
Running an x58 system with 2 x 260 GTX in SLI with absolutely no problems. The quality of this PSU is unmatched, down to the little details such as the sleaving on the modular cables and the thought that went into determining how you can plug those cables into the PSU so you don't inadvertently overwhelm it.Even the price isn't too bad (esp. if you can get a price match) given the features and quality of this PSU.

Cons: None so far

Pros: QuietEfficientLooks great (even though it sits in the case)Solid quality
Comment:
Seasonic X650 is one of the best power supplies I've ever used. I've upgraded from a Thermaltake Toughpower 750w and I've never looked back. It's definitely quieter and way more efficient than my old psu. Stick with Seasonic, they're the most reputable brand for psu's for a reason.

Seasonic X650 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 650W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply
Cons: None... so far

Pros: QUIET !!! Modular, not too large
Comment:
A really good upgrade from a failed Thermaltake. Did I mention it's quiet? Fan hasn't come on more than a few times, mostly when I'm running benchmarks. I don't use more than 1 GPU, so I'm confident that 650 W won't be stressed. My concern is building a quiet computer, so this is a plus. Completely modular - helps with cable management.

Seasonic X650 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 650W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply
Cons: A bit over-packaged.

Pros: Energy efficient. Nice and cool.
Comment:
Wow! The unit runs so cool that the fan doesn't even turn on until I purposefully stresses it just to make sure it's not defective. Talk about quiet and efficient. I am running 2 5870s in Crossfire with this 650W PSU and it is barely breaking a sweat. Made my previous 800W PSU look downright anemic. Yeah, I upgraded from a 800W to a 650W and I know it is actually a worthwhile upgrade.

Seasonic X650 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 650W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply
Cons: none yet

Pros: quietfully modular80+gold
Comment:
I really appreciate the fully modular design as it definitely helps with airflow and cable management. While this is a fairly pricey unit, I managed to price match this for considerably less. My favorite part of this power supply is the 80+gold certification because it generates less heat, and less heat helps when my tower in close proximity to where I sit.

Seasonic X650 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 650W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply
Cons: - pricey

Pros: - 80 Gold (highly efficient)- Quiet- modular cable management- excellent presentation (bag, pouch with all the cables and black/gold-ish colour scheme)- the MB connector is also modular (of course you will need to use it but follows the clean look in the back)
Comment:
Excellent presentation for just a PSU :O It is 80 Gold which is highly efficient (not many PSUs have this rating). Great for a HTPC. Everything is modular including the MB power and CPU power. And a nice pack to hold all these cables. This review was modfied by poster @ 04-27-10 05:03 PM

Seasonic X650 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 650W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply
Cons: It’s so efficient that the fan isn’t needed most the time that it doesn’t help cool the case

Pros: Completely silence
Comment:
Like all other Seasonic’s PSU, it’s a well build unit. It’s so efficient that the fan isn’t running most the time, and it’s completely silence. But its strength is also its weakness. The cooling fan is off and can’t help expel hot air out of the case. If you have a stronger case fan, air will flow opposite direction and pull the heat from the PSU back into the case.

Cons:PriceIt's expensiveHorribly expensiveDid I mention the price?

Pros:QuietEfficientPowerful
Comment:
I did a lot of research on this unit before buying it and I found it to be one of the most efficient, highest quality units on the market. It has 90% efficiency at a 50% load. That's incredible! In regards to silence; the fan will never operate unless the unit starts to actually work hard and heat up so it's very quiet. A high quality ball-bearing fan makes sure that even stressed it remains quiet. It's also the first fully modular unit I've ever owned, although I wonder at the wisdom of modularizing the main 24 pin power cable. I can imagine, though, times when this would come in handy; like if you wanted to loom the mains and then route them to the PS.Another word about modularization; When I want modular cables I want modular cables. I don't want two heads on the PCIe cable or 4 heads on a SATA power cable. Surely there must be a way for manufacturers to do this without overly cluttering the cable interface. How about Y connectors on the cables close to the interface? There ya go Seasonic! Now send my cheque care of...meh that's OK, it's on the house. All kidding aside Seasonic, you make fantastic power supplies but come up with a better way of modularizing the cables. If anyone in the industry can do it you can. Now for the truly shocking; the price. As of writing this NCIX is offering this excellent unit for a stupid-crazy price. This is when PMing is your friend folks. I know that quality costs money but 200 freakin dollars?!?! INSANE! I won't rub NCIX the wrong way by telling where I price matched this and how much I paid but I never would have paid $200 for this unit. I love you NCIX but come on.The bottom line is that I would not hesitate to recommend this stupendous power supply unit to anyone. It's powerful, quiet and above all, very efficient. This is the power supply that the German's wished they'd built. ;)

Seasonic X650 Gold ATX 12V 24PIN 650W Active PFC 80PLUS Gold Modular SLI Ready Power Supply
Cons:None. Nada. Zip.

Pros:Silent
Comment:
The best power supply I have ever purchased. The 120mm cooling fan does not turn on at all, even when drawing ~250W through the system, and even when mounting the PSU above the CPU, catching all that ambient heat. Note that I have a positive-pressure system, which pushes a bit of air through the PSU.I blocked the air vent on purpose to force the fan to come on, and when it did the fan was barely audible at 1 metre. The cabling is excellent. All cables are removable and sheathed, which keeps the installation really clean. And it comes with a handy pouch for storing the spare cables.Worth every penny.
