SilenX IXG-80C GPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:befuddlingly terse instructionsfins don't rise above RAM enough to fit ramsinksZalman ripoff styling
Pros:fits a 6600GT AGP!! (which is rare)good performancereasonably quietbargain-priced (for what it does) |
Installed on a Gigabyte 6600GT AGP, with its own HSI heatsink. The bottom portion of this barely scrapes past the HSI heatsink, so it's a bare fit. But a fit nonetheless!Temps are in the 30-35C range idle, around 60C loaded under Furmark, and the fan noise is barely noticeable (more air turbulence than motor whine at that) so it's a massive improvement over the stock HSF.It's a shame I can't use the included ramsinks - they seem to be real copper, judging from the mass. The instructions could be better too, just a frankly poorly captioned diagram to go on.At the end of the day though, a good cooler at a nice price.
