SilenX IXP-11-14 Case Fan
Cons:
so far so good!
Pros: quiet3 pin connector Comment:
It's a quiet fan, I like the 3 pin connector so I can know the actual rpm and control it. there's also an adapter to 4 pin molex for those who don't have 3 pin connectors left on the motherboard. |

SilenX IXP-11-14 Case Fan
Cons:
- Low CFM, but it's normal for the size.- Price
Pros: - Silence- Comes with all the hardware needed Comment:
Very silent fan, you can barely tell if it's running or not even when your ear is right next to it. Comes with screws and rubber mounts so you can choose the one you prefer and with a 3 to 4 wires adapter.Even with the low CFM, it made the temperature drop in my router while adding no extra noise, which is exactly what I wanted. |
I just got this fan today and I'm pleasantly surprised at how whisper quiet it is. You can't really hear it unless you put your ear near the fan.I replaced the loud heatsink fan on my Shuttle X27D with this. I had to use the screws that came with the old fan, and that cause a little bit of grief due to things not lining up perfectly. With some elbow grease I got it to work and I'm very pleased with the results.
