SilenX IXP-74-09 Case Fan
Comment:
These items are super quiet and I like that they come with anti vibration pads considering that I have an all aluminum case it tends to transfer the vibrations all over. They move far more air than my stock LianLi 120mm case fans. The leads for the plug are not very extended. Would it be that tough to make them black? for the cash they need to consist of washable filters as nicely as superior marking on them for direction of rotation and air flow.

Well they are really quiet. But they make noise when not completely vertical. Build excellent didn't appear as excellent as the other fluid dynamic bearing fan I got from Newegg. These are extremely lightweight plastic. They appear to rattle a bit when not fully vertical. Newegg has a handful of much less pricey fans that at very related to this one particular.

Quiet and moves a lot of air, good color and design. Ive had a number of these and havent really had a problem with most of them, nevertheless: lately I found that two of them that had been becoming employed as input fans had seized totally. They had apparently slowed due to dust/grime about the bearings and then the added heat of pushing by the dust ultimately melted the center housing, which knocked the blades off balance and ground them to a halt along the outer edge as they fell out of alignment (the tolerances along the outer edges are very close) Just a warning that this is a possiblility. I may possibly get some dust grills prior to I invest an additional โ to replace these fans. I've in no way had that type of challenge with personal computer fans before.

I had a machine that was sort of noisy. I replaced the 120mm case fan with this and it was like going from a jet engine to a golf cart. The fan is so really I can't truly hear it and it seems to move additional than adequate air to retain the Pc cool. Nice color and really light weight. I'm going to attempt one of their CPU coolers subsequent and see if I can make this Pc nearly fully silent. high value, but worth it. If they could lower the pric on these just a bit I'd possibly in no way use anything else. Seems to function nicely paired up the the Cooler Master M600 power provide. My stock CPU cooler is now the loudest point in the case gave it four stars due to price tag. A small less cash and it would be 5.

Much better Airflow than I expected. Uncomplicated installation. CPU sitting at 37C. Just A tiny noisier than I expected. Correct now I have it connected to a power provide cable at 5V. I don't want all the airflow it is providning so I will connect to my motherboard chassis fan power connector and cut the RPM by 25%. This ought to decrease noise and nonetheless supply enough airflow.

Comment:
Silent. This is for a HTPC and though it's not as silent as my TiVo, it's awfully quiet. I think the 9 dB claim. Lower airflow than a typical fan. I replaced just about every fan in my case with a SilenX fan (two 80mm, 1 120mm). I also put in a SILVERSTONE NT06-E CPU heat sink and place a 120mm SilenX fan on it. When I turned the Computer on for the initial time I believed I had done a thing incorrect simply because I could barely hear it. I was honestly shocked to see it POST; I was reaching for the off button since I was certain some thing wasn't hooked up right.

These issues do what they are created for. They move air incredibly really quietly. I have 2 of these and three of the 80mm in my house server. Not genuinely a con if you know going in that these things aren't going to move a enormous quantity of air. I wouldn't reccomend for somebody to use in a huge gaming computer, on the other hand I consider they would be good in any other capacity. Before installation I had a couple enermax fans installed. I had to close the door at night just to keep away from the white noise. I applied the included rubber mounts and these points are impressive. Incredibly quiet, I essentially hear the challenging drives (one of them anyway) more than the fans. Don't have to worry about closing the door any far more either.

Man, it's quiet. 1st I believed the fans are disconnected, had to stick my finger in to see how wrong I was.Seriously, you can hardly hear something. Doesn't move a lot of air compared to my old fan (which was rather loud). Not a issue for me - CPU is 49C at full load - but if you are a diehard overclocker, this could not be for you. Silicon mounts are nice but hard to install, I would need to have to take away a power provide to be able to pull it. On the other hand, common screws are included, too.

Couldn't be a lot more true as to the volume of this fan. Totally quiet, and when working with two of them (one in front and 1 in back. My aim was generating a gaming Computer with exceptional cooling and becoming as quiet as feasible. Definately recommended! Completely none.

SilenX IXP-74-09 Case Fan
Cons:A little pricey (even when on sale q $15).

Pros:Very quiet, reasonable airflow, FDB bearings.
Comment:
The fans are very quiet due to the FDB bearings and unique blade design. Bought two of them when on sale $15 each. These are great for people that are easily annoyed by computer cooling noises!
