Quiet and Thermistor controlled. Good shape/ Style. Thermistor manage interferes with fan to the point of shutting it down. Even at technique begin. Ought to be plugged directly into the Mollex and bypass technique board fan control. I practically sent these back, but I comprehend I will use them for an additional construct. These fans are ultra quiet. It's accurate, they are pretty a lot silent. But even fiddling with bios tweaks to retain them on consistently they are nonetheless shutting down randomly. I realize these are Great for a case build exactly where you dont truly care to tweak. A lot like a server that gets hot. The thermistor sensor manage is responsive only on correct placement. These do not shut down since of poor workmanship, they just need the sensors set up right. But the case I have planned to place them in require the Computer to control the fans. I like it set up that way. So I will just save the pair for the subsequent case construct where I can "set it, and overlook it". |

Reasonably Quiet Doesn't blow hardly any air - you can barely even feel it when you put your hand right up against it. Died right after about 6 months. I purchased three SilenX fans and would never ever acquire an additional one. They do incredibly small to cool my computer system and this 1 just started rattling like crazy. |

It performs! Tends to make a lot more noise than a 20db fan. I have been a Pc hardware tech for more than 18 years, and have experienced alot of fans in that time. I bought 3 of these fans and installed them in an Antec Sonata case. They replaced 3 odd ball less high priced fans that have been rated for 20db. I find that there is additional noise now with these 14db fans than there was with 20db fans. Huge dissapointment due to the fact these fans are twice the price of my prior fans. I had RMA'd one of the 3 fans because it was generating a clicking sound like the blades were hitting the side of the fan enclosure. Needless to say this will be the only time that I purchase this brand. |

None Went from it functions in previous overview to not functioning correctly. Following a week, started to make a buzzing sound. I am returning the fan for a refund. Given that I just received the Blue SilenX LED fan back from RMA and now this 1 is having difficulties, decided to just do a refund. SilenX is something but silent or dependable. |

Quite Quiet, Fantastic. I loved it The thermal sensor functions but the cable is also quick and the fan keeps at extremely low RPM :S. Please somebody from newegg or Silenx. Is there any way to replace the sensor for the voltage like any other fan? due to the fact my cable got stuck yesterday and cutted someplace and it appears it has created "cortocircuito"(spanish) and the fan doesn't function at all now. Please an individual enable me!If I could just make it go maximum speed it doesn't matter i want it to function please. I'm from Argentina and i bought this product from newegg final year and a nVidia GTX 280 but i don't make travels to USA anymore and i can't purchase yet another one. |

Lots of airflow at reasonably low noise. Most likely much more than what I would have necessary. None that I'm aware of. A small louder than I expected, but that's my own fault. I didn't genuinely know how loud it was going to be when I bought it. I did notice that funny burning-ish smell that some users were noticing but it went away following a day and I didn't in fact see any leakage. |

Quiet fan idea is great; On the other hand, these fans are grossly overpriced and are somewhat inferior in construction substantiveness, run quite warm and in turn emit an obnoxious burnt electrical smell. In practice, they did not move any much more air than the stock Lian Li A16B fans. Consequently, I ate the restocking fee and was glad to rid myself of this failed experiment. Newegg.com should discontinue selling Silenx items! |

They cooled things. They appear shiny. I ordered two of these in July 2008. They weren't as quiet as I had hoped, but I don't have really higher expectations for fans as lengthy as they hold issues cool. Three months right after obtain, one of the seized up. It was replaced by way of RMA. About six months ago (Jan 2010) the second broke, and today (Aug 2010) the third turned from a fan to an immobile heat-producer. They are now out of warranty so I do not anticipate replacement, and I do not plan on acquiring SilenX once more. For as underwhelmed as I was with the "silent" nature of these fans, they must genuinely be more tough. I'm moving to some thing louder if that's what it requires. The Antec fans that came with my case are four years old and showing no signs of stopping. |

They are indeed quiet and push a lot of air for the quantity of noise they generate. They put on out speedily. I've been through two of these in the previous year. They work fantastic at first, but following a handful of months of meduim to heavy use, they start buzzing and ultimately stop becoming in a position to spin altogether. The bottom line: The decent value and performance can not outweigh the extraordinarily short lifespan. Would be a good solution, but they constantly, generally die. Do oneself a favor 6 months from from now and commit your cash on a fan with equivalent specs from another brand. |

Descent air flow. Noise, noise, noise. I purchased two of these fans at a local shop being aware of that they may not operate as advertised. For comparison I also have a couple Skythe fans that are rated at 20.1 dB and 47CFM. In totally free air I would guess that the Silenx makes about 35dB of noise. My case has a filter in front of the fan so the noise level drops to what I would guess is about 28dB. If you want air-flow and don't care about the quantity of noise then the Silenx could be for you. If, however, you like to operate in a quied atmosphere then I would go with two Skythe fans. |

Extremely quiet and incredibly high airflow compared to the other fans I have. (Scythe included) The air this issue moves and the sound that it [doesn't] make is unbelievable. It appears cooler than other fans.Has lasted me for over a year now without having indicators of failing. Cost. Significantly a lot more high priced than any other 120mm fan.Seemingly high failure price primarily based on testimonials. It appears more than time, it begins to produce additional mechanical noise when operating. It is at present the second loudest fan in my Pc (even more than generic sleeve bearing fans) as opposed to at the time of obtain. (I truly never ever noticed this till nowadays, checking the sound of all my fans) I never ever understood why folks have been complaining about the loudness of the fan. Prior to I ordered, I worried about it, but soon after obtaining it I was baffled at how others believed it was loud. I could not hear it while it was on auto speed, so I changed it to run complete speed, and it was barely even noticeable on its own. Whilst in my case, it's absolutely drowned out by other issues (ex. GPU fan).I may possibly purchase an additional Scythe if at the 1 year mark it performs superior than the SilenX fan (noise wise), or may well drop much more cash on replacing anything with SilenX for high airflow. Decisions.. |

Moves fantastic quantity of air Noise. This is no way 14 dBA fan. I purchased it retail for อ thought it would be worth the added $ contemplating its noise rating ྮ dBA on the front of the package and for some cause 11 dBA on the spec line on the back of the package ) and high CFM.I am returning it. I only require it for as an optional fan for my CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 challenging-drive bay fan. I believed the extra air movement would not hurt thinking of the low noise level. Wrong. Only comes with female power connector if you will need to hook it to other than motherboard. |

Man, this thing is incredibly quiet. I bought 3 of these. After like 8 months, a single of the 3 fans died. Then couple of months later, 2nd a single died. And now I just found out the 3rd 1 died. The reviews are not lying, the top quality of these fans sucks. As well pricey for fans that doesn't even last that long. I discovered my lesson.. No additional SilentX |

Mine was quite quiet. Then it became actually silent. Right after a year and a half of moderate computer use, it died. I got it going once more, but when I began to re-attach it to the case, I observed the hub was blazing hot. Moving on to Scythe. |

High CFM, High RPM, Low dB. Perfect for my system. Utilizing these in my liquid cooling method and I couldnt be happier. Was nicely worth the investment. I have 7 of these in my system and I'm seeing high 30C's on idle with these in my LCS. Price...ม a pop x 7 fans = empty pockets:( Dont stick your finger in the fan...lol |

Not noisy at full speed the 72CFM rating confuses me. I have a Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F rated at 63CFM and it blows more air compared to this one.Just try to compare the two fans blowing on your face! This fan also heats up simply! try to compare the two fans soon after an hour of usage and you'll feel the difference. Ahead of I configured my three PCs to run 24ǝ, I had to scout for the very best fans with the great CFM/Noise ratio.I ended up shopping for a lot of Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F to replace all the fans of my three Antec p180b situations |

This fan moves a lot of air. The style is excellent but I assume the db rating is way off. I paid $xx for this fan because it claims to run at only 14db. The fan runs louder then my Antec case fan rated at 25db! Dont even ask about the SilentX 120mmx35mm fan rated at 18db. That fan is far more like 45db. I gave it a 4 and not a 3 since it moves so substantially air. But dont think the db rating. |

none I bought three of these from a regional retailer and two of the 3 had been unbalanced and vibrated heavily. They felt really low-cost and flimsy. For how costly they had been I was expecting WAY greater. I ended up returning them and paying a couple of much more dollars for noctua fans. That was the only great factor to come out of this. I gave it two stars since the one that worked actually was somewhat decent, but who knows how extended it would have lasted. If you are going to devote this much on fans, you can come across other people that are a lot greater. |
None I just boutht this fan from nearby electronic store. It's LOUD LIKE HELL. By no indicates it's close to 14dBA as labeled. It's much more like 14dBA x four !!! It overwhelm all other noises developed inside my pc -- which includes from the fan of an EVGA GTX 260!!!Testers who tested this fan from Silenx need to have serious hearing impairment. Would in no way ever purchase any SilentX brand fan-cooling item once more.
