Completely mimics a three.5 drive form exactly where caddies and fixed plug arrangements won't accommodate a two.five HDD/SSD.Excellent for SSD, as long as they run cool.Heavy steel building. Absolutely NO ventilation - would NOT use for HDDs or anything that demands meaningful cooling. Complete size 3.five case - requires up the Entire bay.Price tag - could be cheaper for what it is. These were lifesavers in upgrading various of our Lenovo integrated workstations to SSD, all of which had caddies and distinctive 3.five mount arrangements. Numerous SSD adapters will NOT work exactly where a caddy and/or fixed three.5 type plug possibilities arise. These DO, perfectly.

Permits mounting of a two.five" drive in a hot-swap or rackmount server drive caddy/tray. Rugged construction, nothing at all complicated about it. Pre-mounted board is merely a 1-to-1 re-mapping of the pins to one more SATA connector. Drive install is a snap; plenty of screwdriver space, contains screws (not pictured). Only possible con are the included screws which are the common hex-head Computer screws; most hot-swap caddies need screws with heads that are flush with the tray, so make sure you have some laying about or that the caddies you obtain consist of screws. Fits flawlessly in Dell 11th-gen server trays, each hot-swap and cabled-in.
