Silverstone FM122 120X120X38MM Case Fan White 800-2400RPM 21-42.2DBA 110CFM W/ White Fan Controller
Cons:No choice in color.
Pros:Appearance, quality, value. Comment:
I was looking for a variable fan for my Thermalright Ultra-120 extreme. This was it. I have no problems with fans and the noise is what is expected from a quality company like Silverstone. |

Silverstone FM122 120X120X38MM Case Fan White 800-2400RPM 21-42.2DBA 110CFM W/ White Fan Controller
Cons:Loud at max speed(of course).
Pros:Pushes a ton of Aair. Comment:
This fan is nice and white, no frills or anything. I like that. It also pushes a ton of air, which is why i bought it, cause I'm a crazy cooling guy, but its kinda loud at maximum, nothing turning up the volume won't fix though. |

Silverstone FM122 120X120X38MM Case Fan White 800-2400RPM 21-42.2DBA 110CFM W/ White Fan Controller
Cons:A little loud on high but moves a ton of air!
Pros:Good Design, very stylish. Comment:
Great overall purchase, white fan looks real nice with a chrom grill, nice and simple. Would have liked the controler to be black but it still looks great with my black tsunami dream. |
I had a FM121 fan on my Thermalright SI-128 heatsink and it performed admirably with the nice controller. The only issue is the closed flanges which cause some headache with the heatsink fan mounting hardware so I'm looking for a good alternative with open flanges and this one filled my bill. When I opened the package, I was surprised at how heavy and thick compared to the FM121 (I should have checked the specs but it's not a problem). I installed it on the heatsink and it performed as well as the FM121 with the added bonus of a higher pressure (a advantage thick fans had over thinner ones). Noise is surprisingly pretty low even at full speed. If you install this fan on a heatsink mounted with push pins, be very careful since the weight could yank the heatsink off the motherboard. I fixed this by using the bolt-thru retention mechanism.
