Works great in windows but if you want to try using it to boot windows to go for example its trial & error to figure out which ports to use on an alienware laptop for example(which after looking around i found out they put bootable ones on the left side of laptop)The glossy plastic was a bit of a turn off especially since this sku didnt come with a carrying caseWith it being a tight fit i found it hard to securly attach the hard driveThe power connector was required the 1st time i connected after that no need unless your using it as a bootable device.for it being the only one avaible that supports both usb3 & sata3 in 2.5" format it was worth it.
