Silverstone Strider ST60F-PS 600W ATX12V EPS12V 24PIN 80PLUS Power Supply Active PFC 120mm Fan
Cons:Stiff CablesInstall IssuesOlder Unit
Pros:ModularEfficientShort depth/length (140MM) Comment:
I had many issues with this product.I bought in Late December 2012 for a mini ITX build so I chose this powersupply based on modularity and the short depth of the power unit.Out of the box, I was impressed but as I was building my rig the issues became apparent. I had a very hard time connecting the modular cables to the components (24pin mobo, pci express, etc) - reminded me of the cheap 4 pin molex connectors that you need hercules strength to add/remove.I also found that the cabling and wiring was very stiff and may have led to my final issue - the power supply was DOA, I believe while installing some of the wires may have been pulled from the 24 pin connector on the motherboard. This unit is actually an older model, and Silverstone already released their new "Gold" units with better efficiency soon after I bought this.I was very frustrated and contacted NCIX for a RMA/Refund. They were awesome and refunded my money. |
great for small builds and enough power for a high end gpu too. Excellent build quality/looks and quiet fan.140mm depth and fully modular cables. Shorter cable set available too
