I had a pair of icemats that were in ear and they must be defective because the balance didn't seem right. These produce good sound quality with my little mp3 player, the volume slider is handy. It comes with three different size cups and I have been using the middle size, but it doesn't seem to take much to dislodge them a little so they need to be adjusted in my ear... maybe I have to move to the larger cup. I am pleased with the sound quality after having used a few different brands of head phones.update: Dang! I just tried switching the little ear cups and a piece of the plastic fell off...
