Was looking for the best price for a basic Slingbox and this site came through with a great deal, free shipping and much faster delivery than was quoted (16 days turned out to only be 2!). The Slingbox works great and the quality is actually better than I expected. For those looking to buy this, make sure you have an internet connection with upload speed of at least 512kbps or else the quality will suffer. Overall, it's not a very feature rich product but does what it's meant to do and does it well. |

Pros: -hooks to my router so I can use it on my notebooks without being tied down to a desk -really easy to setup, took me 15 minuts without using the manual -can control my cable box so I get all my channals on my computer -can use it with multiple computers without having to change wires around, however it can only be used by 1 computer at a time Cons: No recording option, just view only. overall: it makes a great TV Tuner for your computer if you dont care for recording tv shows on your system. Its almost impossible to find a tv tuner that will also control your set top box and this one will do so for cheap. Its video quality is what I expected, about the same as the avrage tv tuner around its price. The video and audio do stay in sync so its not a pain to watch. |

Bought this so I could watch playoff hockey down in Jamaica. It works well and has lots of different video/audio options per your bandwidth restrictions. It's fairly small, which is a very nice addition. |

This is a great product, very handy for watching your TV at a remote location. It was easy to set up, although it would have been a lot better if it had a built in wireless connection. I had to buy a powerline kit to wire it to my modem, which is located in a different room than my satellite receiver. Once connected though, it does all the necessary set up automatically. An important thing to note is that even when connecting the component video to the slingbox, the unit does not stream in HD. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-03-08 07:01 PM |
