Solidtek ASK-3462 Super Mini Bluetooth Keyboard - Built-In Touchpad, Black
Cons:keys are a bit stiff and lack confidence to strike a character the first time. tab key is too smallthere is no gap whatsoever. It would be a better design for faster data entry if there was a small gap between the keys.not recommended for long periods of homerow typing because you will develop a cramp if you have adult sized hands.only accepts aaa batteries. It would have been nice to support aa batteries for those who travel for extended periods.
Pros:small sizeyou are still able to perform home row for fast typingvery portable and 2/3 the size of a normal keyboard on acer iconia w500did not require any drivers for install on acer iconia w500. works right out of the boxa great keyboard for those who have small handsno slowness of communication between the keyboard and the device connected; smooth and fast operation. |

For a Media Center this Keybord can't be beat!
Comment:
This isn't a keyboard for everyone but the other reviews I read don't give it the justice it deserves. I use it exclusively on a Windows Media Center and it works flawlessly. Bluetooth recognician was straighforward and without any problems. Getting used to key placement does take some getting used to but that's little reason to detract from its intended use. Like any Bluetooth keyboard, you have to wait a few seconds for it to ''wake up'' when first starting to type. If I have any criticism it's the touchpad left & right buttons. They can't be used to ''Wake Up'' the keyboard nor can the touchpad itself. You have to hit at least one key in order for the keyboard to connect to the computer. |

Comment:
The keyboard itself is of decent quality. The keys are oddly-arranged though ... only one shift key, and the apostrophe key is on the space bar row. If you're a touch-typist, you'll be disappointed. However, if you need keyboard/pointer combination that fits in the smallest space possible, this does the job ok. The trackpad isn't bad on OS X 10.5.6. But I'd suggest other keyboards first. |

Comment:
do yourself a favor. Do not buy this keyboard. Do me a favor... when you see mee trying to use the one I bought, just kill me. the keyboard itself is of low quality; the bluetooth transmission goes to sleep and is like pulling blueteeth to re-connect. I have not seen a touchpad of this low quality since the technology first came out. |
to see a scale of the size of the keyboard against the acer iconia 10 inch tablet see the following linkshttps://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D7172003_866_851005382https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D7172003_866_851005011https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D7172003_866_851005538https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D7172003_866_851094310https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D7172003_866_850878284It is hard to tell the size of the keyboard from the stock photos.
