StarTech 3 ft. Shielded External eSATA Cable
Cons:none
Pros:solved my e-SATA problemshighly recommended Comment:
I have had e-SATA problems for years. Googling you will find many other people with similar problems. I thought root cause was a bad controller on my old motherboard so I switched to USB and decided to wait until upgrading my motherboard before trying e-SATA again.I just bought the top of the line ASUS motherboard and had similar e-SATA problems like random disconnects, and a fussy connector that any cable motion would disconnect.Through all the years I used those standard gray e-SATA cables that ship with external drive enclosures. On a hunch I bought this Startech cable and my problems immediately went away. This cable is much more stable and secure in the connector.I wonder how many millions of people with e-SATA problems believe they have a controller or drive problem when a cheap cable is the likely problem.Highly recommended. |

StarTech 3 ft. Shielded External eSATA Cable
Cons:none
Pros:solid construction, speeds up tranfers Comment:
Well built with a nice solid feel, much better than a cheapo one I had before (which broke). Bought two by mistake but the second one won't go astray... :) |

StarTech 3 ft. Shielded External eSATA Cable
Cons:No locking clips on connectors
Pros:Decent Price Comment:
Got one of these for the AcomData Samurai 500GB I also purchased from NCIX.Cable does what it does, and at around $5.50 is an okayish price. Was a bit disappointed that there were no locking clips on the connectors to prevent the cable from slipping but oh well. |

StarTech 3 ft. Shielded External eSATA Cable
Cons:none
Pros:connects securely, transfers data. Comment:
Using with an Acomdata external drive and the nGear adapter bracket (19666), no issues, much faster transfer rates than USB connection. |
