Just got it for my unibody macbook pro with Dell 24" IPS Ultrasharp monitor. Works well, but if you turn off the monitor while the cable is connected, the monitor won't turn back on. See http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/p/19343365/19738525.aspx?PageIndex=2 for more info. Used it on my Toshiba laptop to connect to HP 1920x1200 LCD. The computer has only 2 output VGA and DP.VGA was giving me some moving scan line and image was not clean. With the DP connected all is perfect! |
I bought this to replace my dual link DVI cable. didn't really need to but I did for shits and giggles. The 10 bit color is a nice addition.
