StarTech BRACKET Metal 3.5" to 5.25" Drive Adapter Bracket
Cons:- The holes on the brackets (read summary).
Pros:- They do what they're supposed to.- Easy to install.- Comes with screws. Comment:
I bought two sets of these. One for my solid state and another for my hard drive. I wanted to mount both drives to the 5.25" bay at the top of my case so I could remove the hard drive bays from my Corsair 650D - and with these brackets, that was made possible. The one thing I'd have to say is that I don't find the alignment of the holes very good. My hard drive is sticking out inside my case just a little bit. If I wanted to remount the brackets elsewhere on the drive while still using all 4 screws, the drive would be sticking too far out, meaning I wouldn't be able to put the front panel/cover of the 5.25" bay back on. The screw holes are just a little bit off. |

StarTech BRACKET Metal 3.5" to 5.25" Drive Adapter Bracket
Cons:Too expensive
Pros:Does what it's supposed to Comment:
Does what it's supposed. But in the end, it's a piece of metal - definitely not worth 7.99. Be sure to pm. |

StarTech BRACKET Metal 3.5" to 5.25" Drive Adapter Bracket
Cons:None
Pros:Works as expected Comment:
Many old brand name computers, for some reasons, do not have a spare 3.5in drive bay for you to put in a second hard drive but have a couple free 5.25in drive bays. This bracket comes in handy and works as designed with no fuss. |

StarTech BRACKET Metal 3.5" to 5.25" Drive Adapter Bracket
Cons:-Holes didn't line up to have my card reader the right depth in front of case.-Price
Pros:-Did what it needed to do in the end Comment:
Does what it is suppose to do. A little expensive for what it actually is... I had to take the dremel to it to get it to work properly with my card reader in my 600T case. But still did its job. |

StarTech BRACKET Metal 3.5" to 5.25" Drive Adapter Bracket
Cons:
regular price
Pros: does what I needed it to Comment:
5 bucks is a bit steep for what this is, I got it at a better price and it makes it worthwhile, no issues with the screws. |

StarTech BRACKET Metal 3.5" to 5.25" Drive Adapter Bracket
Cons:
none.kinda pricey considering how little material is involved
Pros: Works fine.No sharp edges Comment:
These came exactly as they are described. They worked fine for me and I didn't have any problems lining up the screws like the other guy did. Maybe our cases were different or we were using the bracket differently. |

StarTech BRACKET Metal 3.5" to 5.25" Drive Adapter Bracket
Cons:
Difficult to get holes aligned with case if attaching to case from the bottom of the drive instead of from the sides
Pros: Does the jobComes with all required screws Comment:
I purchased this on a whim when I needed to install a drive in a case that only had a 5.25" bay left. It comes exactly with what is pictured in the product image. What I really hated about this was the fact that I couldn't get the holes to align properly with those in my case since I was attaching it to the bay from the bottom instead of from the sides (my case only has holes to attach drives from the bottom). I had to put together two spacers to attach on both sides of the drive between the brackets, then I was able to screw everything in properly. |
Works great for the price. However I broke 2 screws in a row so I ended up using my own screws instead of the ones that came in the package.
