I've been using this for a few months now for home use and for some customers I help with my small busness. Its been a real life saver when the host pc won't power on. Its the simplest thing to have around, but when customers think their photos or documents are gone forever, this thing is gold.

Great way to use HDDs (especially older ones) to check and archive data.

Ordered from ncix, and when I opened the package it was missing the NA power cord, but had the EU and GB ones. After creating an RMA I found out the customer has to pay for returns, around $15 (standard industry policy), so I grabbed a power cable from an old laptop and have been using it. The product does its job fine, but the QA on this product does worry me for the long run also.

Wow, what will they think of next? I thought my data was lost forever. I went to your site and they had this Hard Drive docking station, what a life saver, hooked it up to my USB, BAMM all my data was instantly available, what a great little devise.

Only HDD dock I found that will handle both IDE and SATA. Recovered and consolidated no fewer than eleven old IDE drives in just a couple hours. Would have preferred drop-in capability for IDE but all in all a superior product.

Very easy to access old drives with this, even got a dead laptop drive back using it. Like plugging in a flash drive, I can readily use any of the bunch I have for back-ups, etc. without opening my case, or swapping into an ext. case. Awesome.

Great product. Couldn't be easier to use. Saved 250 gbs of family pics from Sata drive, and 10 gbs of data from old Ide drive. Don't pay a Guru a ton of money for data extraction.Buy this product and you will be glad that you did.

Got this to allow virus scan of disks on a known good computer - IDEs can stay in the case, sata drives plug right in. Wish I'd had one years ago.

I find this devcice to be very convenient. I have already used it several times to move files from broken computers. The design is great.

EIDE connector is flimsy and very tight fitting. Could imkprove that. Otherwise the product works well for both IDE and SATA drives.

I don't know if this has been available for long, but this product is a slice of fried gold! Move data between systems with a single copy, virus scan and clean an infected hard disk from clean system - IDE drives don't even have to come out of the case. Fewer headaches, so excellent value!

So far, so good. Enables me to use old hard drives as backup now, since the new PC is SATA only.

great product. use old hard drives for backup. check out hard drives. recover data from drive and move to another drive in a flash. plus this dock does 2.5 & 3.5 sata and ide drives. i couldn't ask for more. a must for anyone that works or plays on computers.

I have many external hard drives that I have filled with my music collection. I ordered this unit because it takes both IDE and SATA drives. So far it is working just great. One negative, the ribbon cable to attach IDE came apart the first time I removed it from a tight connection. Fortunatly I had saved ribbon cables from old computers and one of them works fine.

I would with many different PC's and hard drives, very good product for multitasking, shows up as a internal drive. i would love to see a eSata port on it. Solid buy all the same

Works as expected. I would have given it all 5's except that IDE interface is a bit difficult to work work with compared to the SATA. Overall, a good buy.
