I bought this cable for 1.86$ to use my spare router as a switch. The router has 4 LAN connectors. I used this crossover cable to connect the router through one of those connectors to the Ethernet outlet, and turning off the DHCP server turns the router to a switch with 3 connectors.So this cable works very well.
