Cons:Video performance is noticably slower, and not suitable for games, 3D graphics, videos.
Pros:Easy setup, no software required on Windows 7. Comment:
A cheap way to add an additional external monitor to a laptop PC, and it works as advertised. I bought this for my wife's laptop and is working fine for Office applications, email, and Web. There is a small delay noticable when dragging windows, but that's OK. |

Pros:Great extender in a pinch, cheaper than a standalone GPU with dual head. Comment:
I had to grab an extender like this for a client machine with no pci-e port.. store didn't have any decently priced PCI cards and so this extender was the next best thing. Installed super easy and with a simple driver install I was able to get extended desktop across two different monitors with different native resolutions no problem. At the current price (30) if you need to setup a second monitor this is the ticket. |
I bought two of these on sale for $20 to use with my laptop. I ended up downloading drivers for it instead of using those on the supplied CD disc. Although it works, I am a little disappointed that the image quality is not as sharp as the VGA output from my laptop.
