Steelseries Kana Optical Gaming Mouse White
Cons:a sale right after I buy two of this? FFFFs
Pros:light, very light, for a mouse with side buttons.white color Comment:
The only spec I care about is the weight of the mouse.Precision, tracking, it all sounds nice, but my biggest concern is that how comfortable it is when I am using it.Kana is quite light for a mouse with side buttons, and I'd recommend it to people who are looking for a light mouse that has side buttons.I dont understand why it is so hard to find a mouse that has multiple side buttons that is light. It seems as if everyone likes to use heavy mice. |

Steelseries Kana Optical Gaming Mouse White
Cons:No back/forward buttons on left side.
Pros:Nice cable, white, good build quality. Comment:
My wife wanted a white mouse to match her white computer, and she's been super happy with this one. I've used it a bit too - it's a huge step up from any plain / cheap white mice. Now if only they would release a matching keyboard... |
Overall: Cost, performance, ergonomics make Kana a great purchase for someone looking for an ambidextrous mouse for FPS or general gaming, especially at low sensitivity/dpi. If the primary purpose is for high APM rts/moba I would recommend a mouse with lighter/more tactile buttons such as the Kinzu V2 Pro or a Razer Abyssus/Deathadder.In Detail:Latest firmware/drivers make this mouse pretty much flawless in performance. Some complain that it has slight angle snapping, but it is quite negligible and I do not notice it. I have a SS SK Edition QCK+ mousepad and a classic black QCK+ mousepad; mouse works better on black but is okay on colors unless you're very aggressive with it.I personally don't like the glossy finish and even the sides are too smooth for my tastes. My hands tend to sweat some and I find the mouse too slippery. The pictures suggest that the Black version has a better top if you tend to sweat. Glossy finish is often popular among people with dry hands. The mousewheel doesn't have real distinctive clicks for gaming, but I find it consistent and find it very pleasant to use for scrolling in documents/webpages.Mouse buttons use cheaper switches and don't have the best tactile response; wouldn't recommend for high APM games, works fine for FPS and general use.Weight and ergonomics of the mouse are nice.Mousefeet are poor plastic with poor glide. I have ordered replacement Teflon mousefeet. I have heard that SS is now shipping the Kana with replacement mousefeet that are actual Teflon but can't confirm. Original plastic mousefeet would probably be great on a hard mousepad as they would be more durable and would have sufficient glide.
