Cool hunting cover... STEAM. Let me say it again, STEAM. Not only do you have to allow it to connect to the world wide web ahead of you can activate it, but you can't even choose where it installs. If that's not undesirable adequate there is a 2GB download necessary ahead of you can play the game that steam downloads. And the icing on the cake in all of this is that steam is failing more than and more than. Took me more than a dozen attempts of reading "The Steam servers are at present also busy to manage your request. Please try once again in a handful of minutes". Then after I finally got connected, it download a bunch of data disconnecting me and telling me the very same issue....Then when I ultimately got connected once more, that is when I was necessary to download 2GB worth of information... |

nicely, i got the game for Ŭ.. The game does not inform you in the provided requirements that you want steam. Consider my surprise when i place the game in to set up it and that terrible white gear pops up.In my opinion STEAM is $%&*. Its clunky and annoying, beginning up everytime you run the game. I can see the pros and cons in the notion, possibly if it have been an optional feature i would be ok with it. But as one of the other reviewers described, when he started up the game, steam came up and had to update of course, occasionally taking an annoyingly long time.If you like steam and want to place up with it go for this game. If you are one particular who hates steam and its oppressive traits, continue on to anything superior. |

Exciting, equivalent but special from the very first game. I like the graphics, they are also much easier on your method than the initial game wich is a couple years old. Love the new maps...some folks are complaining about the smaller sized size but it appears there is plenty of area for them to add bigger maps. I like the new tech tree, but i do miss the mass amount of diverse unjits. Now you kinda just upgrade the standard ones..still a pro for being distinct in my mind. I am enjoying the campaign aspect of the game a lot more so far. Ok so i along with quite a few others continue to have a difficulty with steam and other individuals steam....i bought the DVD retail disk so i would have a copy of the game no matter what...buuuut it is bascialy just a box with a code in it and you have to download the rest of the game from steam!!! HOOOOOORRRRRIIIIIBBBBLLLLLE concept!!!!! I consider steam has a spot and i dont thoughts buying a game or two from there, especially older inexpensive games i under no circumstances purchased in the previous. BUT if i am going to invest โ on a new game and get a retail copy ..I WANT WHAT I PAID FOR!!! Incredibly dissapointed in this. Like i stated steam and the like have a place but i hate the idea of not being in a position to get a difficult copy of a game..call me old style possibly but i assume i lot of men and women are on my side on this....a decision is one point but i dont assume anybody new or thought that you would buy a dvd game and not have the game on there....just pathetic. Ok even although i hate the steam/dvd issue...i nonetheless like the game and that is why i nevertheless have it a four egg overview....the game itself isnt the difficulty...if you like steam and adore to download all your games then it is a 5 star solution...if you are like me and you are in the middle then it is a three-4 star if you hate steam and the like...keep away from this maybe...It is sad that most evaluations of this game are going to be about steam and not the game itself....If i would of identified abou thte dvd not getting the game on it i may possibly of waitied till the cost dropped and just downloaded it on steam in 6 months...the deception is stupid..not absolutely everyone has time to look at arcticles that may possibly talk about this fact...i see the game on a shelf i buy the game i expect to play the game...not have to download the game nonetheless.....ok ok ok i am performed....but i nevertheless like the actuall game thoguh ! |

* It carries the Supreme Commander Name* The graphics aren't horrible * Far more or Significantly less Anything. The game play is geared to incredibly brief games and devolves swiftly into a nuke, arty, and experimental spam fest. The unit naming is horribleThe story is poorThe maps are smallerThe graphics are not even as fantastic as SupCom 1.Officially not supported on Windows 7 64bit. Sadly, I bought this game primarily based on my experience with Sup Com 1 and FA. What I located was an RTS that forgot the tactic. It is hit swift and hit typically and do it fast or shed. This is a game with depth and almost no re-playability. Strictly geared for the console and casual player who most likely will not be interested in buying it. |

It's a game? Entire resource method was turned to garbage (i thought resources were supposed to imply some thing)Tech tree is a total revamp.. in the incorrect directionWhat happened to the SCALE!? these maps are tiny! The unit choice is meh. They turned an epic like Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance into a giant pile of garbage. There's no true require for considerably approach or thinking, maps are as well tiny to genuinely maneuver units (tho the path obtaining is considerably improved), the AI is brain-dead, they ripped out all the challenging bits and attempted to make a starcraft knockoff just to sell units. It's a terrible disappointment. Do not waste your dollars on this. Wait till they make a worthy sequel. |

1st off the men and women who are complaining about Steam are just old timers. Steam is wonderful. Those who complain about solutions like steam are going to be left behind due to the fact this is the future of Computer gaming. Sorry. Now to the game. Forged Alliance is still better in my opinion but this game is nonetheless a excellent time. I feel these who believed FA was as well complicated will actually dig this game due to the fact they simplified everything. Plus the matches go swift since you're able to get right to constructing tons of units. Now all the factors that they changed could be a con. I am a big fan of the old TA and SC games and this game did have me bummed at 1st due to the fact I believed it was as well uncomplicated. I still refer to it as, "Supreme Commander Lite".Now that I've been playing online matches with close friends and such I do find it entertaining. I will nonetheless go back to FA for my additional sophisticated and longer matches :) Try the demo at least. |

I want STEAM didn't need to connect to the internet to let me set up.... I don't have an world wide web connection for it. AND NO Exactly where IN THE Method Needs IS IT LISTED AN Web CONNECTION. |

Affordable, but if I have been to evaluate the cost as it relates to game quality, it's a full ripoff even at Ŭ. This game is not Supreme Commander, it is some weird reinterpretation of the game that fails miserably. I enjoyed the Total Annihilation series that Supreme Commander is based on, but was disappointed by this game. If you're expecting some thing comparable to these other games, attempt a thing else. |

*It works in Win 7 64*Steam: In my lengthy knowledge with Steam I have had 4 diferent computers and two diferent Operating Systems and I adore the concept of getting able to move my games to my subsequent pc. You can play offline if you do not have an online connection and performs fine. Videos: The dialog does not match the video, the gesticulation is off with the audioStory: Too simplisticGraphic Specifics: The game can be played largely with a high altitude zoom, so you can not get pleasure from the details, which are lousy when you zoom in sufficient to see the unitTechnology tree: To me is not extremely uncomplicated to comprehend what advantages you get by researching, I attempted researching and then I saw a new unit becoming offered, not incredibly simple or user friendlyMovement: When moving by way of deep water I have located no way to load units into a ship to transport them more than the water either an airlift or a boat, so I was forced to generate much more units upon arrival to the subsequent piece of landEngineer units are not very wise, so they do not fetch all the scrap unless is quite close by, evaluate this to Starcraft which is a much older game and you can see the diference, 1 would assume they must have mastered this function at this stage in all RTSMaps are tiny, short games*Boring* I agree with some about obtaining the option of a nearby install or a download with upgrades, it operates for me to download simply because I move a lot and do not carry my DVD games with me, but what takes place when Steam is no longer on enterprise? |

The game is very fluid and effectively drawn, they made some fantastic addons to every single faction, the experimentals are truly cool, massive battles are easy to accomplish, steam will allow for swift and frequent updates, I play it every day and have a blast! steam is kinda lame, the A.I. is less than wise, they need to redo the A.I. badly, they somehow messed up the Save/Load function for Skirmishes (lame), unit cap is only 500 (weak), there is no pause for network play, the on-line interface is not good and somehow good at the same time, gotta go on the web to play a network game (grr), minor troubles - nevertheless a wonderful game although - needs some updates come play with me it is actually enjoyable!! |

Ai performs a small far better then Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. Has some neat technologies like Flow field path finding (movement of units), Noah unit-cannon. The game runs quick and smooth. It seems like I am always either scratching or losing a disk, with Steam all my computer software is in one spot. Makes moving my games to my next pc uncomplicated. The Game appears to be dumb down, the maps are really smaller. The biggest map in Supreme Commander 2 would only be a small bit greater than the smallest size maps in Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. The game still has economic climate, but doesn't serve any real goal because the mass and energy you create goes into imaginary unlimited storage unit. In Forged alliance if energy generator got blown up your shields could go down. There is no genuine tactic any much more, it appears like the game was meant for seven year old! I can uncomplicated win against a cheating Ai. The Study station, I think is a bad idea. If you like a quickly shooting game with extremely tiny tactic, then get this game. Otherwise I would wait until there are some Mods, and Maps you can download. This game seems to be made for low end laptop. The maps are very small, and when I go into Windows 7 functionality monitor only 2 processor are becoming employed. |

Steam is just yet another way the game businesses take away your rights to re-sell the game, and to take away your appropriate to play the game when you want. Those servers go down, you're not playing. Period. Just say no to dirty types of DRM like Steam and on-line activation. Not getting my $$ until you patch that nasty stuff out of the game. |

Great new mini experimentals such as a mini fatboy, much more responsive overall, better emphasis on tactic of war and tech tree tactics instead of resource management. These modifications may well dissuade some fans of the original. Engineer controls are somewhat diverse and appear less than perfect. Graphics, whilst good, do not seem really as sharp or polished. If you loved the original and you are not overly picky and insistent about a sequel becoming very similar, you'll love Supreme Commander 2 as nicely! Super rapid shipping from Newegg as often! |

Has a decent multiplayer community with knowledgeable people. Like any RTS game, count on to put in some significant time to get seriously good at it. It's not like shooter games, exactly where reflexes or natural intuition will save you. It requires a whilst for lobbies to begin, and count on to lose numerous of your games upfront if you just started playing (I did, at least...). It's an okay game. I've noticed a lot of debate on the dev's game forums on no matter if or not this is a "true" followup to Supreme Commander 1, but as I have not played that, I cannot say myself. |

Wonderful updated graphics, doesn't tax your personal computer method like the initial one. Simplified tech tree and unit list tends to make the game a lot a lot more accessible. The pace is considerably more quickly than the preceding game. Maps are considerably smaller than before, most probably to hold performance in check. I do miss the enormous list of units and structures from the very first, but general I like the new one particular and don't consider I could go back to Sup Com 1 or Forged Alliance. I have utilised Steam due to the fact its inception, so it is no dilemma for me that this game demands Steam. The campaign can be a little hokey but it does introduce you to all of the units and how to use them. Multiplayer is fantastic, fast paced, and very fun. |

Good Graphics, intriguing thought to attempt to integrate a analysis / battle practical experience tree into the game Totally destroyed the old resource technique, dumbing it down to be like other games of the genre. Also, while there are several far more experimental units, they simply dont have their old charm. They can all be built in less than three minutes, and can be taken down by a handful of standard units. The battles are also on a significantly smaller scale, with 50 units on each and every side slugging it out as a comparatively typical amount. This would be an OK game, IF it hadn't had a Supreme Commander label. |

Cover art appears cool. Some of the maps look cool until ... you comprehend how small all the maps are. Also there are 1ቦ as many units as there utilised to be. Every thing looks kinda the exact same. As an alternative of producing newer upgraded larger awesomer hunting units. You just add upgrades to current units. Experimental units are pretty average. Not almost so devestating as they after were. Need to not have been known as Supreme Commander two. Not incredibly similiar to Supreme Commander or FA. Steam was a nasty surprise with the extended download and multiple disconnects. Won't obtain an additional item from this producer. I left this installed for a couple weeks but understand the game is so not enjoyable I won't be playing it again. Uninstalled.
