Solid game... not as good as the first, but if you don't compare it to the initially, and judge it on it's personal merits.. fine game. Steam. If they have to use a single of these sort solutions, please use Impulse... much less evil... I really like Newegg, but didn't get this right here... just wanted to add my voice to the poor choice... hopefully get this down to 2 eggs...The game is almost certainly a solid 4 egg game.. at least 3.five....

A refined and a lot more optimized engine that doesn't bog-down like the 1st game. Researching technologies & upgrades is an exciting idea but... Graphics high quality is somewhat lower than the very first 1. Simplified economic climate; general gameplay feels simplified and dumbed-down.AI isn't something impressive, but the AI in the initial game wasn't spectacular either. Experimental units are far less impressive - they're considerably simpler to construct now but consequently much less devastating and far easier to kill.Singleplayer Campaign is not overly impressive. Voice acting is terrible, and the storyline (what I've observed so far) is predictable and cliche. While the game isn't negative, it just doesn't really feel like Supreme Commander any longer. Replacing the standard Tech Tier method with a Analysis method is a good idea, but in the process they dumbed-down the whole game. Finally, I'm unsure why men and women have been getting so a lot of problems with Steam. I've had no troubles with it what-so-ever, and I've utilised Steam for years now. Steam might not be best, but there are DRM systems that are far far worse than Steam.

Only fees four bucks. Only worth four bucks. I literally ordered this on Friday night right after... going out for the night. I'd adore to say I regret the decision (which wasn't a single that I created in a correct state of mind), but I don't actually. Yes, it possibly IS as poor as it's supposed to be, and YES, that is even worse if you've played the original, but hey, can't knock a bargain-basement game, proper? And seriously, for the price tag I paid, I'm having wonderful fun just telling myself it's like a decent indie title.

Gameplay seems to have improved, keeps alot of what made the first one excellent but add's some new stuff which I like. Steam = 3 egg drop. What occurs 7 years from now when Steam goes out of business and I need to install my game? I can't... since it needs activation by means of Steam. If that's not bad sufficient, Steam doesn't permit you to choose where to install. Plus Steam requires you to connect to it ahead of installing the game...the frustration doubles when it constantly gives you the error of "Server is busy, please attempt once again later". The icing on the cake with steam on the other hand is that for some cause instead of installing from the CD which I purchased, it downloaded the whole game from steam, it wouldn't even give me the selection to install from the CD. So 5.8GB, and five hours later I was able to lastly start playing. I certain which good corporations such as those who designed this game wouldn't sell out to firms that bring so numerous hinderances such as Steam. So extremely frustrating.

Honestly none. This game is extremely distinct from the original Supreme Commander. I utilised to play Supcom 1 all the time and I enjoy it. Supreme Commander two looks and plays like it's meant for 5 year olds. Horribly reduced graphics. The level of detail and deep expansion in the game is fully taken away. The UI is also worse in my opinion. One of the capabilities I loved in Supcom 1 was the capacity to zoom around in the mini map, and now thats gone. Disgrace to the Supreme Commander franchise.

This is a great game! It still keeps some of the material from the last few releases, but it adds so considerably additional. There is now much more reliance on the economy and there are so a lot of upgrades, which leads to endless possibilities. The AI also has a lot of additional settings than previous version, some of which are not easily beat, even for the additional advanced user. This makes it far more customizable to every user. STEAM! It is such a pain. The game can not be run with no the use of the Steam platform. One day, I attempt to play the game, so I open it, and steam says that it has to updates it files. When it does the game will not open. This takes place with both Win 7 and Vista. So I feel about it for a small although. Works ahead of Steam updates, doesn't function immediately after Steam updates. I decided to try reinstalling Steam, which I later figured out uninstalls the game as will. Then I had to re-download the entire game(ӱGB), even though I have the disc. Nonetheless didn't perform. I tried a more than a week later and Steam updated again, but the game nonetheless crashed. Hopefully, Steam will get their act together, since when they screw up, no one can play their games whatsoever. I also feel that the game could have accomplished with a couple of much more campaigns, but that's not a major deal. This game is quite entertaining and will maintain you gaming for hours with no acquiring old. As soon as you get playing.

Runs easily on most systems with any powerGame has improved in terms of how fast you can get your base up and operatingLess complicated resource management than prior installment STEAM, STEAM, STEAM, STEAM, and STEAMI feel tied down to steam now. I want the game, not a relationship with this business.Dumb AI.... it applied to be entertaining to play Skirmish on Forged Alliance. The AI could be at least a bit difficult. Not anymore!Absolutely nothing new and excitingIt got old too quickly I was disappointed, it appears like all these RTSs are now have taken a nose dive.I hate when profit gets in the way of high quality game design

Wonderful graphics- game of the year for RTS 2010. It's fun - fairly straightforward to recognize and re-playable... if you recognize the RTS games of collecting resources, upgrading tech, and fighting against opponents - each AI and human - its fantastic... but.. (see cons) it doesn't come close, except for the graphics and my private preference of a tech tree) to Supreme Commander I. Heres the rub. Supreme Commander 1 still calls for far more CPU horsepower for all opponents to be AI in a game than any single CPU - even overclocked - has nowadays. It also has a lot far more complicated AI - making it that significantly additional demanding. Graphics wise - not close to SC2, story wise - a lot much better - but who plays for the story following the 1st two days?Re-playability of SC I (not II as is for this review) is outstanding - there nonetheless are mods getting created and SCI was a 2007 game. However - way ahead of its time. SCII fills that gap - enables game play on nowadays's even modest computers - exactly where as SCI would kill them. SCII is the game that is good to play with friends and they dont will need to have 񘧸 computers w/ Xeon processors. Other cons of SCII - the ACU - major guy - is way too weak, experimentals in DLC too robust. But this game is nonetheless worth ฤ. ŭ.99 is a stea You would be properly advised to purchase both SCI and SCII with each addon packs. They both bring their own flavors to the universe and are both entertaining to play. For the really really robust RTS player who is deep into their geek - SC1 is undoubtedly for them - but they much better be able to afford the leading of the line CPUs if they want to play even four-five out of AI's from the computer system and limit the number of units to about 750 ratherr than the 1000. SC2 on the other hand - is enjoyable out of the box and for the value once more is a steal. You really need to get the addon pack Infinite war - Newegg should sell it but I dont see it anywhere... negative poor newegg. On the other hand, you have a Steam account code inside Newegg's package which you must install from there since there are gamers waiting for you to play - and you can download Infinite war there on steam for about บ. Once again a steal. See you there. :)

Fast shipping from Newegg. I got it 3 days earlier than expected. Makes use of Steam. Faster games. Runs a lot smoother with much less bog downs. Upgrades replaced by analysis. no important graphics improvement from the originals. Has fewer new units. SC two is a lot unique from the originals in a lot of places, but when you look at the notion behind the story a lot of the changes make sense. Make certain you give it a opportunity just before rating it. Steam also makes playing the game on the net of offline uncomplicated and means you don't have to ever be concerned about inserting or ejecting a disc.

-Epic Stradegy-Additional basic than the orignals I personally dont like the new setup I'm not sure this game ended up getting a disaster but every little thing that was best about Supcom 1 or foeged alliance is gone. I never ever planned on getting the game simply because of the horrible critiques but for 6 bucks its worth it

Fantastic for this cost. Graphics still support dual monitor, sound is great, supports multi-core and runs excellent on my midrange AMD PC 鹫 CPU + 5770 GPU).Annimations are fantastic if you like that sort of thing (I do). They fixed the camera reset behavior of the last games. Like if you rotate the view and then want it to remain that way, that works now. This is certainly a pro for me. :) I would agree the game seems dumbed down a bit as the other reviewers. -1 star.My worst con is about gameplay, which totally is a game changer for me, is that you can't have a group of Engineers aid create Anything. You have to micromanage every 1. Epic fail on this GPG! I use to be able to lay down a ton of stuff to develop and have the group just aid out the Engineer, they just assist with whatever the lead Engineer is constructing. Not so any far more. -1 star. Not worthy of docking a star, but I miss the sound the AA turrets created in SC FA. They sound whimpy now. Heh, if you have superior bass in your speaker setup, hearing those fire off was a joy. One of the biggest changes to the game is that each faction has its own campaign. Thus, if you don't play the campaigns, the game is just skirmish and you're missing out a great deal of the game. The game is also extremely study focused now. I like how the ACU can be upgraded with far less pain.

Way much better multi-thread support than previous gen none If you have played the very first gen of the series you'll notice a lot of changes like resource harvesting and there is no storing it just shops no matter what and no defense upgrading everyone have level three defense capabilities and the commander has no engineering upgrades, but the upgrade method is awesome compared to the first gen
