I purchased this waterblock as an upgrade from my old Swiftech APOGEE XT that I have been using for the past 2 years. I wanted something to match my Red and Black ROG theme Build. This review was modfied by poster e 11-07-13 12:13 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 11-07-13 05:13 PM |

Swiftech APOGEE HD LGA1155/1366/1156/2011/BULLDOZER CPU Water Block G1/4I X1/2 Eurostyle Barbs Black
Cons:- none so far
Pros:- Sleek looking- 1 inlet, 3 outlets- installation on socket 1155 is a breeze Comment:
I got this CPU block to replace the Thermaltake Bigwater kit I had. Of course, the block is not the only variable between my 2 setups, so here's my kit :Using a MCP655 Vario pump and pushing to a Swiftech Apogee HD, XSPC RX240 Rad, 2 Koolance GPU-220 blocks and a Swiftech SLI bridge with plenty of push still left getting into the Swiftech micro Rev2 res. Using 1/2 ID tubing from PrimoFlex. My load temps all stock clocks from my i5 2500K and SLI GTX670 are 50/52 degrees at full load for CPU using AIDA64 with GPUs around 60 degrees each card. CPU is 7 degrees cooler that my old Thermaltake Bigwater kit, and GPUs are a whooping 20 degrees cooler than stock air cooling (keep in mind SLI with reference boards gets very hot...) with ambient temp being 25 degrees. All pretty much near silent even at full load, with only 2 Noctua NF12 PWM fans on the rad + PSU fan (2x Noctua fans controlled by Mainboard are at 800 rpm for these temps).I didn't know this when I bought it, but you can use this block as a splitter for your watercooling line. One barb is marked IN, and the others can be fitted with extra bards so you get 1 inlet and 3 outlets (for video cards, Memory and chipset). Swiftech makes a 3 inlet Rad that you could use or the Maestro dual bay with 3 inlets also that you could use instead of going for a serial setup. FYI :) |

Cons:Original g1/4 fittings were hard to remove
Pros:Excellent waterblock, keeps my i7 2700k g5.0GH'z at 55C max.Looks great, pure black Comment:
Excellent high performance waterblock. Would definitely recommend this to others. |
Like I said in my cons you have to email swiftech for the other brackets they will not charge you for the bracket but will charge you for shipping. Other than that it's a good product would definitely get it again if I had to.
