These are my first BSPP (aka G1/4) barbs from Swiftech, but I have used their NPSM barbs for several years. While I don't remember seeing any defects on the older ones, it seems at least half of these have slightly damaged plating, or still have burrs on them - often on the inside of the port so it's unlikely to be from shipping/packing damage. These issues do appear to be very minor, but may play a role in increasing corrosion. They provide wrench flats in case you need them, and are relatively slim for tight installations.
