Swiftech MCR120-QP-RES Quiet Power Single 120MM Water Cooling Radiator & Integrated Reservoir G1/4
Cons:No viewing window for the fluid level.
Pros:Good Size Rad, easy to install Comment:
I tried this for the heck of it, the price was reasonable and the ideal of a built in reservoir eas appealing to me.When I recieved the unit, It did not take long to realise that there was not window to keep an eye on the fluid levels. As a result I have since added a second reservoir to monitor fluid levels. It perfroms well as a rad. I view the unit as a means to have extra cooling fluid in the system, which is not nescessarliy a bad thing. |
After probably just 2 weeks of using this thing, and really more like 2 days of actual use this thing leaked on me. I'm using an i7 920 which really is too much for this thing, Understandable, overclocked from 2.6 to 3.5, kept my idle temp at 41 when over clocked, around 74C when running prime 95, I'm sure I just got a faulty piece, The unit leaked right where there is the bolt that "seems" to be finely sealed by the manufacturer. Seeing that I can only return for an RMA, I'm just going to upgrade to a new radiator, I'd give it a 2 rating, but I don't have a copy of my order id,
